I left a whole box of nail color behind in the bathroom closet... for my husband.
You should see what they want for a simple pair of ruby slippers these days!

SS has been counting her blessings, grateful for the love and support of so many of the people who are reading this.

The simple words "Thank you" seem so inadequate when I consider the fact that my dogs and I are safe and sound, graciously sheltered and not going to bed hungry, gradually becoming reaquainted with the peace that comes with an environment free from unhealthy levels of insanity.

T turned 9 years old today. We celebrated with a chew hoof (pilfered from our friend Molly's kennel) a bit of fresh beef steak, baked potato with WAY too much butter, (say 1/4 lb ;-) fresh watermelon (also pilfered) and nearly a quart of cherry ice cream.
Neither myself nor my senior dog can see over our respective bellies this evening.
Goofball Jed, being a truly progressive "Today's Dog," elected to celebrate his birthday this month with a modest helping of canine sushi (aka: tripe and rice). Portia will be celebrating hers on Friday. No official word on her preferred treat for the occasion as yet, but I didn't like the look she gave the chickens when they tried to rob her food pail this morning.

Nighty night, and thanks for caring about the goofy old woman with the silly hats,
SS

Shelley, I am so happy you and your dogs are doing well, please put on a few pounds your shorts were looking a little loose.  Many people care about us goofy old women, if it was not for us who would be teaching the young one what life is  all about.
Always,
Cee

Amen to that Cee!

Thinking of you every day Shelley.  Keep smiling!  Glad you and T had such a great meal to celebrate. LOL

Yes, we have all lost weight in the last couple of months, especially Jed, but I don't miss the pounds I lost. :-)
I am doing my best to fatten the dogs up for the next leg of our journey, but I can only get them to eat so much in a day, no matter what I put in front of them.
