Hello Shelly, the next time my wife and I are standing behind you in a line, we will introduce ourselves.

You were giving the staff at the Holiday Inn in Lexington a good bit of grief because there was no place to bath dogs and they wanted everyone to go to the local "pet store" and pay $10.00.

I liked your attitude a lot.

Best to you and hope all works out well,

Rik & Lecia

Ha HA!
Next time I will bring a water hose and a pair of needle-nose pliers that fits those silly outside faucets hotels always have, and pick the lock on the linen closet for fresh towels for all.
The last thing anybody wants to do the night before the Sieger show is drive 10+ miles in a strange place to a pet supply store, (sponsor or no sponsor) then stand in line to pay $10. apiece to bathe dogs. As it turned out, the guys who owned that huge horse transport service trailer out back HAD a hose and pliers right in the trailer. :-))) There were plenty of towels in the pool area.

I think I would have had to of called for more toweld and used the bath tub......nice warm, relaxing bath for the dogs and a really big mess for the hotel to clean up.

Got a new dog coming!

The management made it VERY clear at the desk that anyone caught using the bath tub in their room to bathe dogs would be expelled from the event. I did that once, about 12 years ago. (Was it Dallas?) It took me half a day to get the hair out of that hotel bath.
Never again! LOL

Thanks for the kind wishes. The dogs and I are just grateful to be safe and sound, in the very nice home of a fellow animal lover. The dogs can't believe how many nice toys and balls and chewies there are around here. EVERY day is like Doggy Dream Christmas here on the farm.
Wrapping up a few loose ends this week... We are looking forward to getting on with our new life.

Enjoy your holiday weekend too! I'm thinking that spring fed pond in the park about 4 miles from here would go over big with at least some members of my little dog family.
