I understand your point about a contractual agreement between two people. You are right; while the breeders should take the dogs back, the owners are the ones who are abandoning the dogs in the first place. Not all the blame falls on the breeder, although I would hope that they would be more selective about who they sell to.

Now, I  gotta say...the dog you're describing sure sounds like a product of shitty-I mean sport-breeding. Classic case of breeding for the wrong things and sacrificing balance. Who pays in the end??? THE DOG.

Seriously...does anyone really think this sounds like a great dog??? She states he doesn't have a civil bone in his body. So, from what I gather from her post, we're dealing with a moron who will attack the 5 yr old (but hey, great prey drive!) on a swing, off a swing, clamp down on your arm unknowingly...but absolutely will  not engage in real situation? HOW IS THIS A GREAT DOG?

Forgive me for making waves, but it seems to me RLHAR got stuck with a dog that IMO shouldn't exist. If you have all that drive, PLUS  a clear head, then you need to work on management. But she states he hasn't a clear thought in his head. So I ask, really, what good is he? 

Honestly, I feel sorry for the dog. He's the vicitm of breeding for points and ego done by people too stupid to understand the ramifications of their actions.  He is damn lucky he ended up where he is and that she is trying so hard to rehome him properly. How many people would bother?

I will say, RLHAR, some of this was apparent at 18mos, had you known enough to spot it. Again, I blame the breeder and whoever sold him to you.

Ok, I'm ready to be crucified now.
