Any thoughts are appreciated - she's the only pup still for sale in the litter (was sold but buyer decided they wanted a male instead) but of course I need to figure out what she is before I sell her.
Thanks!!!!

The hair "on" the ears can be a little concerning....but I have seen it in normal stock coats.
HOWEVER:.....do you know that "Kris" IS a long stock coat.......he is the one I would consider the "coated" puppy.
He will not have a tremendous "sheep dog" looking coat.......but, he is in my opinion....the coated puppy.
VERY CUTE PUPPIES!

I was mainly wondering about Koda because she's not sold yet and has very nice drives so I'd like her to possibly go to a working/show home but of course need to make sure she's not a coat if I'm selling her with that possibility. Just curious, what difference do you see between Kris & Koda? They've looked almost identical to me since they were born although now Kris is a little "fuzzier".
At what age can you usually tell your longcoats apart? Below are pics of 3 of the pups at 4 wks old (Christmas). Kris is 1st, Koda 2nd and Kiri is 3rd. Kiri has the shortest coat in the litter now but at that point they all looked pretty similar to me.

I'm pretty sure this puppy is stock long coated.
Reason? this puppy has longer hair on the ear than normal puppies and a little different skull shape.
Usually long coat puppy has a different head shape, the muzzle is more narrow and the eyes are a bit closer together.
I hope this helps you.

By the photos, she looks like a LC to me.
An experienced and knowledgeable breeder can easily tell around 4 to 6 weeks.
LC's will pup out once and a while no matter what combination.
This is the way since the beginning of the breed.
Many have tried to breed the LC out and have failed.
I personally will buy her, they tend to be the best dog in the litter.
Shown below are 3 stages of "Apollo" LC black and red male.
Best of luck.
