Spaetzle thankyou for your warning. Be sure it did not take me long to figure out that these boards are not always reliable. Although they are great sources of different information, I would not consider what one tells me and set it in stone without going further and gathering more info. I tend to believe more when the same info comes from different places. As for the ones I felt condescending I do not wish to throw out names. I just so happened to have words with this person on another board and after just joining this board realized it was the same one who posted to my thread. After a while of reading their posts to your own quesions and to others you get a sense of how they are. I myself am hear to learn for myself. I think I got alittle cranky earlier today..lol...and really wasnt up for the bull*#@$...ya know what I mean. Anyway are you familiar with this dog? Tacco?

Charlie Ivory....why is it you had a page with Tacco on it....were you planning on breeding with him? As it says he would be arriving in the fall....I remember you mentioning to me that he was being sold as companion/sport dog. ??????

Tacco is STERILE....

by ZalDante on 16 November 2005 - 23:11

So would it be true he only had one litter? and now wont be used for breeding?

by ZalDante on 16 November 2005 - 23:11

or should say produced????

Mary Bryant was nice enough to answer your questions on the Green Board. She is not registered here and I forwarded her this post. She hoped to import Tacco in the fall, 2005 - but was informed he was sterile after the Hungarian Sieger Show. To her knowledge - he produced one litter - the "Z" litter. Vets stated it was possible under the right conditions that he "might" be able to reproduce - but in all likelihood he should be considered sterile. She opted not to purchase him. His owner in Hungary was very honest with anyone who asked about him as to his fertility status. Tacco was imported to the US yesterday...

Temar thankyou very much for your reply. You explained it very well. As I did thank Mary for her responses on the other board. Maybe other people here would know more as to whether he has been in the states previously. Thankyou so much..I appreciate it :-)

Wow, this is very distressful. First I hear of the death of two very young VA dogs from Wallace and now I hear of two males (Kanto and Tacco) that are announced to be sterile. What is going on with the Wallace progeny?

Well I'd like to find out also. As Tacco is my pups father,( my pup is now 7 1/2 months old) which is part of the reason I'm researching for information into his lines. Also what has or is becoming of Tacco.

Spaetzle who were the 2 young dogs? Do you know if Kanto produced any litters at all?
