Thanks for ruining my day. (I thought I was going to read an article, that is why I opened it)

If so, can you provide more information on this? Has there been any improvement of the treatment of cats and dogs in China in the last 5 years? Recently, I saw an article saying they were trying to ban the sale of dogs for food:
www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/358107.html When I posted about it here, you responded, saying it was
true. What happened to that bill? Did it pass and become a law?

It ruined my day too. But that is the point. Look the reality in the eys. What are you afraid of?
Since
as we all know ; picture is worth 1000 words.
I do not think that any explanation, reason, excuse, can tell us more.
Here is another picture and if you want an article then here is one too.

What possible positive spin could it have?
I have seen enough about open by government supported cruelty to dogs in Communist China to know that this is not an innocent dragging of a dog behind a motorcycle by 2 Chinese cops.

I am with you. Although it is heartwrenching to see this, I think photos like this are necessary. The abuse and animal cruelty that exists in China is no secret, but seeing photos such as these makes it more of a reality. My question is what can we do to make a difference?

Again with the racist nonsense, eh Maggie? Why don't you mention what is wrong with "our culture" when stories of animal abuse surface in this country?
FYI, there are a couple of Chinese breeders who frequent this site on occasion who have accomplished more with GSDs than you ever will. I suggest an immediate retraction and apology for tarring them with your ridiculously broad brush.
