DDR-DSH

By the way (not that you care, or that I want you to, but for the record), most of my kennels were 4' x 8', USDA compliant, of a type recommended by a noted veterinarian, and well as large as the walk in Bromet kennels. I had large runs, also.. about 6' x 20' concrete. I only had about a dozen crates, and dogs got turned out. That's all I have to say. Tired of getting beaten up over it. You people don't care what is the truth, anyway.. I can see that.

And, I do actually think that you are activists.. The smell lingers and I know it well..

When someone cops a plea it's mostly to save their own skin, if you were innocent you would not have accepted any of the charges. You knew if you didn't take the settlement you would have had much more to answer to, so you took the easy option. You were lucky, you had a choice something those 60 dogs did not have. Only one word for your likes..... scum!!!

The smell lingers and I know it well........ What's that then dog shit? Or the shit your talking now?You should remember had enough of it in those crates with those poor dogs. When you let the dogs out you are supposed to clean all that up, not stick them back in on it, SCUM.

"No, dogtrainingplace would allow such thing, as it is clearly against animal protection law, and would lead in no time to the closure of that facility."

Thanks, Ulli, for saving me some typing.  I've been to a lot of clubs in Germany and have never seen what is being described as common practice here.  I also take exception with the assertion that the Germans' living conditions and lifestyles change frequently; it simply is not true.

No, Janice, there are not more laws there now nor was this ever the practice in Germany.

Can't stand this, I keep reading it in her posts.

People can value ANIMAL WELFARE and not be Peter Singer-style ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVISTS. Please stop bringing up this red herring. One of my degrees is in philosophy and I was required to study Marx, Singer, etc. along with Kant, Hegel, Heidegger, Sartre, Wittgenstein etc.

Red Herring (logical fallacy): A red herring is an argument, given in response to another argument, which does not address the original issue.

People interested in animal welfare think that animals should be kept clean, fed, watered, and have decent lives. People interested in animal rights think that animals are equal to people and should be set free from their lives of slavery. NOT. THE. SAME. THING.

Edited to add:

People on the board are obviously interested in animal welfare. We care about our dogs and want them to live happy lives. We hate to see dogs suffer. No one has advocated an animal rights position, that I know of. Animal rights activists are OPPOSED TO DOG OWNERSHIP (because they think it is slavery).

You are obviously not interested in animal rights OR animal welfare. This is why people are appalled by your posts.

Thank you; I've been thinking exactly the same thing myself.

Fact: found guilty of animal abuse
Dogs living in filth I think the report mentioned dogs in feces over a foot deep or so, stinch, odor, emaciated animals, dogs needing food. Janice you where no a breeder but a hoarder. Look at the info on line for hoarders, they can never admit a problem. May have started 30 years ago as a pet owner but ended up as this. You will never ever convince me that a dog can live normally in an airline crate or those rabbit cages things you talk of. I know you don't want to hear all this but the truth is the truth and you have a problem
