I have a German Shepherd that will be 20 years old this summer.  He isn't in good health, and we know his days are few, but he's been a great dog, and more important a precious family member.

Wow, good for you!  Unheard of, that age.  We'd love to see some pictures, please!

Wow!  Both are amazing examples.  I can only hope Echo lives so long (as long as she is healthy and happy!)

It is rare for sure.
Humans are living longer than ever these days.
The important thing is the quality of those years.

Wow that's great, wish mine would also make it so far.

Big hug to this GSD.

That is amazing. I hope he can continue on and give you great memories. They are great dogs indeed.
Maybe he can make the Guiness world record right now for the breed.
You are blessed to still have him :)

Wow! Amazing! Yes, hips must be prefect along with spine, heart, lungs, digestive system, skeletal system, etc.  :) !   What do you feed him? Have you given annual vaccines his entire life? Have you used heartworm, flea and tick preventative regularly?

No matter how long we have our beloved furry family members we are never ready to lose them.
