SteveO,
Please google "Janice Bartmess" and see who DDR-DSH really is and how she treats animals.  She is a mentally unstable person and offers nothing of value when it comes to GSD's or any other topic on this forum.  She is a convicted felon for animal abuse and a hoarder.  Please do not encourage her, she thrives on that type of attention from unsuspecting people.  She really lacks any worthwhile knowledge or information about dogs.

Google her name and do some research for yourself.  You will see that she is really nuts.

FWIW,

Jim

Jim you are so right.

Beware, be very wary.

Like many sociopaths, she has a certain talent for reeling in some really decent people and the ability to mimic genuine human emotion.

It is sad, so very, very sad.

I have no sympathy for her, only for the people she hoodwinks with her stories and excuses and the poor dogs that end up under her control.

God help them,

Michele

Guys, back to the real subject.....same for Sock Puppet.   I did not start this post to learn about something I already knew (That user)  I don't care for this post to turn into the same old crap that this board is turning into so often.

Jenni.....who in their "sound mind" wears spandex?? LOL!

Personally, I think the DDR dogs (in general) have a tremendous look and physical appearance.....but I also do not know enough about their specific bloodlines, to comment further.....I will choose to learn from those of you with learned knowledge.

What about Ingo von Rudigen

Pharaoh

by Pharaoh on 01 July 2010 - 03:07

Pharaoh is an offspring of Aron v Poppitz and Sindy v Ludwigseck (Steve Lino's Peddy Grafental daughter)

He is a strange combination of easy to live with, sweet and domineering and headstrong.  He is not aggressive with other dogs and is quite social.

As he is approaching three years old at the end of September, he is becoming more biddable.  Maybe we will even get a BH.

All the craziness involved in selling my house, staying in a hotel and buying the new house has made him become more flexible and cooperative.  He is accepting my leadership.

I am so glad he was not my first dog.  I have been forced to learn a lot.  He's very challenging but always happy.

Pharaoh is approaching three years old. This is when males change in the ddr lines.Males top out in size and they get Attitude!
keep an eye on him and let us know when he does.

Like many sociopaths, she has a certain talent for reeling in some really decent people. You are so right and i would like to know is who in their right state of mind sold her these dogs???

SteveO didn't know any of that guys. He's new and a nice guy.

Robin- you're right about the spandex! LOL. But you've seen it, no??? Scary.

Urry, Ingo was good but GSDguy was asking about CURRENT dogs. ;-)

My issue w/the recent trend is that good looking dogs are being bred for being good looking and maybe having good hips, which is why DDR lines are getting the reputation for not being suitable for work. Why oh why can't people just keep in mind that we're trying to produce better, balanced dogs w/proper temperament FOR A GERMAN SHEPHERD when they pair up dogs and not breed solely on pedigrees, hip xrays, and a headshot.

by Schaferhunden on 01 July 2010 - 12:07

GSDguy , The most ddr studs i have seen are in Texas and Arizona. The problem is 1 they produce a large amount of litters each year.2 they are Associates of DDR DSH. To each owner they are the best studs. If you are looking for a stud dog to breed to look more at what you want in a GSD and to whom you will sell to.Most people today do not want sport dogs or guard dogs they want a family dog. This is why the average Gsd is the way it is family dogs. Most real traits have slowly been bred out over the last 20 years
