Hi!

I have a question?
If you found german shepherd that is cross-breed "american-line with german line",

Meaning that his father is American line and his mother is pure german line. If you ever breed such dog that carry both DNA from Dad and Mom,

What will the off-spring pups be from him - since he has two DNA from american line and german line??

I don't understand the question.. All dogs have DNA from the mother and father regardless or how they are bred and from what lines
Can you reword it?

I think if the dog was bred back to american lines it would be 75% american 25% german.

DNA is from mother and father not just one or the other. It wouldnt be german or american unless it was bred back to a certain line over time (maybe i got that wrong)

Any drop of "American line" will cancel out the "german line".  IMHO

Sorry for my English,

What I meant was this dog that I know, his father is American Line and his mother is pure german line.

If you breed this dog back with german line what will percent % german will be in the off spring pups ??

Thanks!

The DNA of each pup will be different, german, american % is what your asking.

You need to study the pedigrees of both parents.

ok if you breed an american line to a german line, the pups would be 1/2 american lines and if you breed that pup to   all german lines those pups would be 3/4 german. this should give you an idea.
