Maybe a small claims suit for lost of cat and anguish could add up to $3000. HHmmmm

According to Kraftwerk contract, all lawsuits/claims are applicable to the laws of Washington state, and Washington does not allow pain and suffering for pets, they are considered property and you can only sue for replacement value of the animal :( So unfortunatly, no such luck in that venture.

seems like their contracts include every conceiveable way for them to keep money they must have had alot of practice at insurening they dont have to give money back? I had called about a dog they had before I bought mine I was not impressed with the attitude and lack of intrest to answering about the dog and felt the dog was frankly not worth what they were asking, So I went on looking. Perhaps that was a good thing I would hate to see a dog not be good with kids that was said to be okay with children? To say an animal is good with them tells me the person currently owning and selling the dog saying it is okay with cats means they have experienced the dog around cats and the dog does not pay them any mind. Some accidents will happen but to me I dont see it costing the woman 3,000 when there is also blame onto the seller she did not just simply change her mind. To me this kenel cares more for money than his customers and I would not deal with that type of person. That dog I had looked at, I felt something was not right and after reading so much here before buying I was suspicious anyway why he would have so many listed imports as he does on his website for sale at those prices, and I traced and contacted the previous owner and was correct the dog did not have any work drive and is why it was shipped out to the states to be sold as an overpriced lawn ornament. The next dog I go to buy I would go to that honest German fellow that told me what I suspected was true. I will always remember and suggest those who practise the art of being a honest and good human being first, a genuine lover and caretaker of the breed second, and a dog seller third. I am sorry you had a traumatic death of your cat nothing can help that and I hope you do not let the incident ruin your enthusiasum for our lovely breed.

Hey Guys, Thanks so much for the more reasonable tone here. the other day I looked for my bruises after i logged out. I am not for a moment saying i am not culpable here; I am. I can only hope that I have learned my lesson. I love the GSD and am in the process of getting another one, a different kennel, everything is different. I trusted unwisely once, and will be more careful. Burn me once, shame on you; burn me twice, shame on me!! One thing: my cat wasn't running, it was merely walking from the kitchen to the living room. the dog struck swiftly right in front of me. I watched the whole thing, helpless!! anyway, I have learned of so many other reputable kennels; there is no reason why WC should get the business. There are so many honest, decent breeders and kennels owners out there who care about the dog, the buyer and then the busines. They have every right to expect to make profits; but, there are ways to profits and there are ways to profits!!! These honest kennels should get the business. I have had emails from people with negative things to share about WC, so his reputation is out there. bye

If your cat was just walking then, you had NO fault at this. At ALL! You were decieved 100%. If I had known this, I wouldn't have come on so strongly. This is a very sad thing to happen. You can blame the kennel but not the dog though. Natural instincs are much more stronger than training. Good Luck Diana on finding a more suitable GSD and Kennel. Daniel

It was difficult to answer without all of the information up front. Anytime a question is asked, all information has to be provided for a reasonable, correct answer.

There are breeders who will tell prospective buyers that their dog for sale will drive the SUV, change the oil, and shop for groceries if that's what it takes to make the sale. Not one of us reading this is immune from being cheated by dog breeders of all breeds. It's threads like this one that gives us all a head-up and if we don't think twice before inquiring about a Kraftwerk dog, then shame on us. I know I will share this with all I know who are thinking of a dog from this kennel. Word of mouth is a very powerful weapon.

I am disillusioned that one has to find out about this through a free and free thinking website. The corruption in the show ring is just terrible. Why not breed good dogs, for their sake. There certainly are enough of them around. And some so valuable that they are not for sale. Sorry Babby Ulko, you should have been just ordinary. Too many expectations and too much money I guess. Maybe in the New World you will have the home that you will become king in. In the meantime, those that trained and handled this dog and pushed this dog deserve some disgrace.

I dont understand why anyone who doesnt plan to work or show the dog would pay in the thousands for a family pet. The end of the story is if you want a family pet; go get one - dont buy a working line GSD which you wont be able to handle.
