Greetings from Ramona,CA,
Does anyone know of any products or ones an individual can make from things commonly accessed for a dental rinse. I know hydrogen peroxide will make a dog vomit at the usual 3% dilution commonly found on store shelves.
Any oldtimers out there or should I say pioneers of canine dental care have some tricks up their sleeves?
I remember growing up that the dog that laid at the house and didn't hunt were the ones with unusually foul mouths and quicker deaths.
As usual, "Inquiring minds want to know".
Thanks in advance!
Peace,
Don D.

Howdy Yellow Rose,
My chemistry tells me that baking soda is a neutralizer for vinegar. I use baking soda to get rid of battery acid on the posts of car batteries. Do you use the baking soda as an abrasive?
By the way, thank you for always chiming in. I have two dogs getting ready for trials one young bitch (really young 6 months) and my 3.5 year male. Good tracking fields up here this year that we can access. We need RAIN.
Happy trails and tell Mark to get a dog.
By the way, are there any old hound men out there? There the wisdom can usually be found not including the motor oil for mange trick but, some other good stuff.

I have NEVER done anything to my dogs teeth aside from giving bones. All my dogs have great smiles!

DD:
Many many toothpaste companies use BAKING SODA to clean teeth....grandma and grandpa used it to clean mouth...vinegar just makes it phiz//
I put vinegar and baking soda down my kitchen drain to clean the gunk out....it is 100% safe....you also can put vinegar in the dogs water,,,,or on its dog food.
I clean with vinegar...put it in the coffee pot to clean and rinse...
If you feed raw from puppyhood you need no teeth cleaning... and bones raw also help.
You can pour Coke a cola on your battery cable posts also to get off the build up.....
Mark has a bad cold..he is not operating too swiftly this week.
