Yes
a G rating and KK11 was Tom as was his G Father Orry, But he bred V rated Dogs through his progeny, of course not all can be contributed to one Dog we all know that, But what other Line of Dog has done so much in the Sport of SchH, I cannot think of one past or present and it will be a long time before it happens again if ever.
However, I am sure you will know of such a Line of dogs to have done the same as the Line of Tom and Orry, if so please let me know of it

No, there's possibly only a few lines I regard as highly, and each offers some variance to coincide well together for the criteria that I would choose.  But, I don't pay so much mind to show ratings in that process. Emphasis for both work AND show is really irrelevant if the dog can't produce itself, and few enough dogs have reliably produced themselves so well as Tom.

But, back to the question, Are there any examples of competitive working AND excellent show dogs that are considered to produce well?  What I mean is, if that's what's being implied as the "ideal" that we should strive for, then shouldn't there be at least a few good examples that can prove it's it's a viable concept worthy of pursuit?  And if we do, would be encouraging over proliferation of a few particular producers?

Darylehret: Unless you are very well connected and know a lot (which I don't) about how certain dogs will be very likely to produce, you generally have to look at the dam and sire's parents to get some kind of a proven track record or tendencies. Otherwise, you end up buying pups out of older dams/sires who have developed litters already established as performers. Tiras vom Rotenfeld is a VA2 rated dog that is linebred 5,5 - 4 in VA4 Mark vom Haus Beck and 4 - 5 in V 23 BSZS Nilo von Adeloga. That in itself is no guarantee, but if you look at his pedigree you will find solid breeding from well established kennels. In thisparticular case, the choice of sire and dam clearly dovetailed well. BTW; Tiras sired Xambo Vom Rotenfeld, who has done well in this year's competition. I like Tiras as a producer, but time will tell. Ulk vom Arlett is known to have produced dogs that work well (and pass the ability on) as did Triumph's Gucci. There are still several, but not that many, kennels where you can still find dogs that stradle well both arenas, but the truth is that if you want to excel at either show or trial, you have to hire one of the few elite trainers/handlers who have a bigger hand in the titles of a dog than the breeder. That is why you often find that excellent performers fall flat on their faces as sires and why, occasionally, you will find a sire that produces well beyond any expectation that his work or show record could create. The sad state of affairs in the breed is that both lines have turned snobish and blindlly exclude anything that fails to fit with their firmly held convictions. IMPO, it should be the ambition of every breeder to aim for a double sieger who could win both show and trial.

Ah yes...Jeff...those were my dogs!  Oh oh....more are on their way to the Illinois PD. (you might want to warn them about their abilities ahead of time).
They will continue to be my "proud" pieces of shit with accomplishments   and you will continue to be just a plain piece of shit with nothing to contribute anywhere and has accomplished nothing.
But please continue to post..it gives you such pleasure to fight with the women on the boards..."many of us are so intimidated by you" and your rants of "prove it to me".....AS IF.. your moronic, opinion of any-one's dogs weighs any validity in this world.
Go train your "real" dogs......then the rest of us can continue training with our "pseudo" dogs in the "real" world.

Your a girl ? So, you don't believe in equality unless it benefits you personally ? I guess you think that by pointing out that you are a girl, somehow I will be the horrible person.

Yes, I would like to do that, who is it that is getting these dogs ? Leave a number as well.

Oh, of course they have accomplished something. It just took weeks and weeks longer to do it than a dog that had some sort of drive. How much did you charge this dept for those shitters ? Please let me know.

If my opinion didn't mean shit, you wouldn't be all fired up like this now would you ? LOL Of course it has weight, even with you.

Post the dept that is getting the dogs. I can help you out there. After all, I am just a piece of shit with no accomplishments.
