The dog looks very interesting.  Does anyone know his size or how he moves?  Unfortunately, the Germans have decided that black will not be used.  Does anyone know if in recent years a black has been successfully (to VA) been shown in the U.S. in WDA or USA competition?

In my opinion he is a handsome looking Stud, in accordance with the standard he is very close rather excellent, in accordance with showline today's trend he is not, he is not overangulated and does not have a roach, his withers are high and back is strait and nicely sloping from neck towards the croup which melts in harmoniously with correct degree. He is not too show looking, no just correct beautiful eye catching structure.
But again as Bazza said remains to know is he in reality as good as the picture tells us. In regards to temperament since Preston praised it that tells me he knows it as a fact otherwise he wouldn't have mentioned it. The thing Preston did not know as a fact he put it as: something like ( I believe or think he will be a good producer).

The rest of the owner's selection of dogs is equally excellent: http://www.tjaernshaget.de/ Besides Marin, Ajax, Miro and Dingo offer plenty to satisfy both WL and SL breeders looking to add to their program. One can't help but to like what this guy is doing.

It's too bad the topline and neckline and who knows what else is photoshopped into some template of "what a stud dog should look like" (which is probably why some say he looks "too much like a showline dog")-- no doubt he is beautiful enough and a good enough mover to get V and KK1, but what does he actually look like in the stand? Don't know. :/

Blackthorn, many photo shop are obvious, but I cannot recognize those done by real experts. Where are the clues to photo shop in this photo.I do not dispute you, just wish to learn to spot the fakers.

Thanks,
Rik

It's a beautifully done "touch up" job, but if you look carefully at the line of the neck where it crosses the clip of the leash, you can see that it doesn't look like real hair. Over the hips there's a change in the flow and color and reflection off light off the coat--where someone has filled in somewhat and given the dog a desired croup profile. If you look at the topline all the way down the back, there's just a glimmer of fuzzing--kind of like an airbrush effect, again filling in the topline to match some desired template.

I don't know, but it's entirely possible the dog was given a bit more forechest and overall thickness around the neck. With the black dog it's easier to photoshop, in a lot of ways.

This dog might be one I'd consider drop-dead gorgeous in person. Maybe it was just a less than perfect picture. Maybe I'd like the dog in the original picture better than the dog that is photoshopped to match a template. I don't know. But I do know I would hesitate to make any judgment on a dog just from a photoshopped picture. :/ The one thing about the German system, at least, is you can be pretty sure the Koermeister saw the dog itself and really did think the dog deserved his V, KK1. (Mostly sure.) And that's a lot more than you get with many other systems.
