James, I don't know how else to explain that dollar amount was not my point at all. I merely was humoring you in answering your last question about dollar amounts. I read your posts. They were fairly simple and I understood them just fine. We simply are not, by any stretch of the imagination, on the same page when it comes to puppy buying, and that's fine. To each his own as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

As I said earlier, anyone who knows enough to get a dog like I would sell knows the market so they really don't even ask most of the time. The people asking crazy amounts for dogs are, again, generally ignorant in one way or another or are simply trying to make some money off of people who don't know better.  The litters priced over market value are not usually of much interest to me and many others. Those people usually end up selling to the uninformed, newbies, or people who are just as likely to be happy with the puppy down the road.

Hank heard it loud and clear, as did sjbo and skidoo, so I don't know what else to say.  You mentioned dogs being an expensive "hobby", and to me, and most of my buyers, they're not a hobby at all; they're a huge part of my LIFE, and I want what I want and nothing else will do, regardless of cost, and when someone haggles about price, I know right then and there that we're not on the same page in terms of priorities or they simply haven't done their homework, and either way, I know at that point that my dogs are not the right fit for them and politely explain that. For every person I sell a pup to, there are at least 5 that I nicely tell to find a pup somewhere else.

And yes, my expectations are quite unusual, and not something that can be articulated on an internet forum. Additionally, they have zilch to do with titles. Titles are merely a formality to appease those who cannot evaluate the dog for themselves for whatever reason (distance, etc.)

As GSDPACK said, you make no money breeding dogs the right way on a small scale! The best you can hope for is to put a dent in your food bill. Therefore, when people want to haggle on price it's rather frustrating because clearly, they don't have the desire to put their own time, effort, money, blood, sweat, and tears into a good breeding, yet they have the audacity to say a pup is only worth x instead of y? I simply don't deal with people of that philosophy.

The price is the price; you don't like it, then don't buy it.
