Most people don't know about this one. It is not marketed like most. It is made be PHD PRODUCTS. www.phdproducts.com. You can call and talk to the owner Scott. I've had my GSD on for 2 yrs with zero vet visits. Plenty of energy and stamina. Good Luck

My dogs are on Canidae for about 4 years now and overall I am happy with the results. The price point in NJ averages about $32.00 for a 40 pound bag. There is also the redemption program for one free bag with proof of purchase from 12 bags. This really adds up if you are feeding alot of dogs. They did change their formula. I believe the first four ingredients used to be chicken, chicken meal, turkey, turkey meal. Now its chicken meal, turkey meal. I have one dog that needs 6 to 7 cups a day and another that becomes a porker on 4 cups per day. I like the chicken soup formula but the price point is about the same as canidae for a 35 pound bag and no redemption program. I like and have fed the innova evo RF formula exclusively to the dog that needs 6 to 7 cubs of the canidae. Great results on 4 cups of the evo RF. But cost prohibative when feeding several dogs. Our dogs also have a firm stool on the Canidae. It just goes to show that you have to try several foods to get a desired result. Not all dogs do well on the same formula either. We also supplement with GLucosamine Condro, flaxseed and chicken leg quarters and wing sections raw from a rest. supplier. Kyle

Recently switched to Diamond Hi-Energy which runs $13-$14 for a 50lb bag. So far so good, Dogs and I both love it, along with my wallet.

Tried Chicken Soup and while the dogs did eat it, it also gave them terrible gas as well as very loose poops...Not something we were willing to live with once the bag was finished...After the dog food recalls of last year we decided to switch to something that Diamond had nothing to do with in any way...Which led us to Timberwolf Organics (always available on line with no shipping costs) which at one time was made by Diamond Pet Foods Inc but has seperated themselves from Diamond and has no affiliation with them any longer...This is a very good dog food that the dogs like and seems to agree with their digestive systems very nicely...We continue to use it as a "sometimes" change in variety (or even mix it with what has become our "staple" dog food sometimes) with what we use on a regular basis now...That is Orijen which is what I would consider one of the best dry kibbles available...???Check out their web site and make your own opinions...www.orijen.com...Its made by Champion Petfoods LTD of Canada... RC, Solid Gold, Innova Evo, Natural Balance, Merrick, Canidae and all the rest of the "premium" dog foods available are all good, some better than others...But mostly still good, we all do what works for us...Will not knock any of them but will stick with Orijen and Timberwolf Organics (which offers a very nice variety) as my "staple" dog foods...I am not affiliated with any dog food company nor am I an expert, a lot of what I know I know from the help and or advise I got from most of you...I am also a retired biologist as well as the owner of a beautiful female GSD who gets whatever I can do for her (she is my baby girl)...She is in the database; Cora von Haus Winheim, check her out... Happy New Year to you all, Rob

Canidae All Life Stages, all my dogs love it, and I had one dog with what I thought to be skin allergies, now she has a healthy thick coat! Her coat even has a softer different feel & texture to it, it's quite amazing! Believe me I've tried ALL the kibble,......... Blue Seal, Purina, Pro-Plan, Exceed (from Sam's club) Pedigree, Eukanuba, Iamms, Natural Balance, I'm sure there's more, I just can't remember, but look at all the different brands I have used over the years, Right now I have nothing bad to say about Canidae, that's the first time I can honestly back a dog food brand. And NO, I don't work for Canidae, I'm just a satisfied customer!

Oh ya! And I tried Bil-Jac but all the dogs stools were to mushy and a pain in the a_ _ to pick up! I was going to purchase Wellness before the Canidae that I now feed, but the store discontinued Wellness, cause a big company bought them out, so guess what, It's filler time!!!!!

I have heard good things about Orijen. I tried Innova but it was too rich for my dogs. Then I tried Timberwolf for awhile and was very happy with that, then I went back to raw.
