I have been trying to get papers for my dog from the breeder since I bought him,to get him registered, but he keeps giving me excuses. Telling me he's having trouble getting papers for the sire. My dog was born 12/24/2009. he said he would mail me the necessary papers but I have been contacting him since I purchased my dog but with no luck.Can anyone steer me in the right direction?I have a GSD

Who is the breeder? What is the name of Sire and Dam? What state are you in?

sounds like at least one of the parents wasn't registered...where did you buy your dog?

Contact AKC and see if the dogs are registered. Then see if the litter has been registered. AKC will help you from there if they can. But if the dogs are not registered there is nothing you can do. Take your contract for the puppy ( now dog) to small claims if it says registered papers to follow on it.
