Future of this site - Page 1

Now that the site has financial support from adverts and is back online all the time what is it's future. I used to come here several times a week and as a fairly newcomer to the circuit had so much to learn from the various threads. Now it seems practically every thread turns in to an opportunity for a small number of members to start a slanging match. Each thread is becoming distasteful and the pleasure of coming to this site is quickly disppearing. I don't visit as often and am sure others are following suit. So if the site starts to attract less visitors will the ads fall away and will we be back to the site going down every few days and only reappearing for a week or 2 each month. There are even threads where certain members deliberatly appear to set out to start a row by stating names that are not to join the discussion thereby goading a response. Where are the admin staff ? should there be more admin staff or can we simply start to act like adults and stop destroying this message board with the personal attacks and try to stick to the issues. Agree wholeheartedly with every word.The bad apples are dominating the board these days. This has got to change.Moderators please take note.

As I have said time and again, this site is an excellent resource for the breed. Especially for those from countries far away who cannot get to the Motherland and see first hand the superb work being done there how and developed the breed there is in every way. Keeping slanging matches away will allow the serious people to access the website and provide an opportunity for them to engage the newcomers and vice versa. They stay away because they do not wish to get into irrelevant controversies. Alas, it is true that most forums and boards end up with non-serious ignoramus'dominating them.

I would disagrre that there are bad apples dominating virtually every board or maybe apart from this site I have just been lucky with the others. I am a member of at least 4 other forums which I visit regularly all well moderated and with lots of open and useful discussions without resulting in the frequent personal attacks on individuals often seen here. Please once again can I ask that those involved do not continue to ruin this great site for the rest of us. I wasn't talking about other german shepherd boards, as this is the only one I frequent. I was speaking of message boards in general. If you want to experience nasty, you ought to hang out on some of the high end audio boards. Makes this place seem pretty mild.
