Thanks for the apology GSD. Strangely enough, it does make me feel better. I love you back. 

I showed my Sl dog pictures so I can have some input into the forum and the changes much like the other SL people do.  How about putting the "latest post" tab on the main page so we can avoid searching 4 forums for an interesting topic?  Some SL people liked that idea.....How about the working dog section, not just the sport dog section (the sport dog people are really the trouble makers anyway)? 

BTW, If you were referring to me earlier; I doubt I have really helped anyone all that much.  I guess it is a huge assumption on my part that you were referring to me. 

Slamdunc, if you weren't here, there would be a huge void in the "voice of reason". Besides you don't really want a working dog forum, do you? There are only like three of you here! LOL Now a REAL dog forum, that would  really up the post count!

I have suggested the same thing in an idea we are all working on.

I was talking to you and whether you admit it or not most of the mods have been helped by you in the past(publicly or privately) plus your dogged help of many many members here. Thank you.

I'd like to say something.

First, GSD is not always the best writer or the best at getting his point across. I have (Sorry GSD lol) wrote to mods at one time or another and said ... I think he means this and explain my way and they get it or it doesn't leave them with more questions. Sometimes I see he makes a comment to the board and that's not how I would have put but I'm not him.  There are times I pm him and say maybe you should have said it like this and the next post he makes he tries to clear it up.

No matter what, this place through all the bad times, through all the mud slinging, is in a way better spot then it was 2years ago! And it's going to keep going forward! And like it or not, it is because of GSD! Him and Oli work so well together! People complained about Oli not taking care of stuff before but once you step on this side you really see things in a whole new light! There is always background maintenance that is being done to this site. Why should Oli have to work all day, take care of family stuff, do the background stuff here and then have to deal with rude, childish behavior from many of the members! (DO NOT TWIST- I SAID MANY)

When we get a member who's eating us for dinner or is completely out of control...guess who gets to deal with them? GSD! Just maybe when he pmed you he had just spent and hour or two pming with a very unruly member. Maybe at those times he should hand things off to us. Maybe you just take something he meant one way as another. (We all get a bit snarky even to our children and grandchildren.) It seems to me that this attitude is the same one that was carried over from the first set of mods (when a few went out of control) Everyone swore back then it was all GSD! How wrong you were then and what you think is going on now is still wrong! I myself as a mod has spent hours on a thread defending against lies!!! Once a point was proven it was switched around to something else and so on! It really wears on you!

It was sad and embarrassing to tell the new mods that we couldn't make a thread and introduce them to the board! Because the last time we did, it turned into a mod smackdown! I have asked new mods if there was anything we did or didn't do, that they as a member had a question about! Why? Because of all the rumors and lies! I take out the time to clear up any misconceptions, I back up all I say with facts from people's own posts or actions.  I want the mod to be able to clear any doubts so their mind can be free to mod to the best of their ability! Oli's words are not only posted on that personal attacks thread but I posted it to the new mods so it might help them in their decisions.

Change and growing, happens all the time in life! Changes for good or bad in jobs and schools, sports teams, web sites, music, even our dogs change and grow! Here , it seems no matter what it is, some people like to make it a big deal! (And not in a good way) No matter what - he is here, does it for free for the love of the board and the love of dogs. This place is back to talking dogs and we hope more of the people who claim they have all this knowledge will share it more and more.

I also want to Thank those of you who haven't posted in a long time here for giving us a chance again! Some of you left because of how bad things got here and when we see you post again, (for some it's been years) It tells us we ARE on the right path! This shows us, that you are trusting us! So Thank YOU

I'm a slow typer so I hope this post is not posted in the middle of something, where it makes no sense!!! lol

I think everyone should get a copy of "Who moved my cheese."  I just read it again recently on a flight.  It will certainly help many members, especially the SL and sport people.
