4pack

You will wish you could mute the people around you when they say foolish and annoying things, but not nearly as much as they'll want to mute you! Take pride in the level of discomfort you can create. This was my horoscope for today! Good for a laugh I thought.

4pack-- So glad you cleared that up for me--You know, how non confrontational you are. Otherwise, I could wonder about that remark "I said my PIECE " being somewhat symbolic again of the wildwest theme (piece, of course, being slang for gun). So, I'll just (how did you word it again) "quit my bitchin", and choose to move on. David-- Thanks for the response--just not clear about the lines drawn there--But, it is Oli's site and his decision.

Iams never bought Euskanuba out. Iams was always the manufacturer of Eukanuba, a fmialy operation, that being their premium product since their inception over 20 yrs. ago, when I began using their product and it was packaged in plain brown bags and not advertised anywhere. Proctor & Gamble bought Iams. That's when things went downhill and prices went up. Some formulas are still the same, good, product, and its available nearly anywhere in the world, but the corporate takeover, with ALL THAT MONEY involved, has NOT been good for the product OR the formerly loyal consumers. Sucks... but that's how things go anymore... SS

I did some research on Peta showing why dog owners should be concerned with the goals and activities of Peta and it was censered.

DesertRangers, do you mean to say that your post about PeTA was censored from this list? Yes, I think I saw that, and I had a similar experience. Well, in my experience, PeTA uses pressure tactics, so don't be surprised. I called a radio talk show once to express my views on their (alleged) activities, and an alleged PeTA lawyer actually called me back!!! They did not threaten me, but some people might think that a threat is implied when a lawyer calls you about your statements. This is why I like ConsumerFreedom so much. They are not intimidated, and have done a LOT to protect all of our rights and freedoms. I trust that they are able to back up their claims and are telling the truth. In this case, they are only commenting on and publishing items as they appear in the news and in public court proceedings. You can defend your own statements if you always qualify them as your own opinion, and not facts. Especially if you can show the basis for your belief. If that is a trusted source such as Consumer Freedom, legal decisions (they are allegations until tried and proven in court), or if you have published material to show, you are pretty well covered. I personally do not hate PeTA. They have a right to their opinion and to make public statements of their opinion, just like you and I. If your statements are disappearing on these lists, it is only an indication that I may be right.. That activists are stalking these lists and trying to impose their agenda over everyone elses' interests. To the moderator, I pose a question: "What is the purpose of providing a format for a one-sided dialogue?"

I have participated very little on this blog, and may decline to do so any more. I saw the "danger" a long time ago, of providing an open forum like this, which ends up being sometimes abusive and unfair to persons and organizations, or one-sided and unfairly depriving interested parties of defense or counter-statements. This is ineffective dialogue, a waste of time, in my opinion. But, it provides a magnet for visitors, to up the bandwidth and sell advertising, so I guess this is what it's really all about.

DDR-DSH, PETA does like to use judicial intimidation as a means of pressure. Most people and companies have a tenedency to back down quickly.
