Hi all,

As many of you have probably noticed the site has been experiencing a lot of 404's and other errors (including being down)

This is all part of a major redesign of the data structure to be ready for a design overhaul in the future,.

It will be going on for the next days as I move and reorganize the current data to a better setup.

Sometime this weekend I will also be turning the web off for a few hours while I do some changes that can not be done while it is live. (call it "scheduled maintenance" )

I hope you will all show patience while this is going on and just look forward to a better pedigreedatabase.com in the future.

Regards
Oli

I still cannot see  pictures, not even peoples' avatars, nor the pictures for ads. I am using IE 7 and Windows 7 as my operating system.

I can see the ad on the far right of the page (La Sensa, with the semi-nude woman) and certain ads on the left of the page that are mainly text. I can see only the title for the PDB classified ads.

I just discovered the site doesn't take the PNG format for pictures. It only wanted JPG. It used to take PNG...

Sunsilver, a few suggestions....have you tried a current browser?  IE7 is two whole versions behind.  Not sure if this has any implications for this forum but in general, for security sake you might want to upgrade.  If you use FireFix you can use AdBlock Plus which blocks all ads.  The only ads I see on this forum are the PDB ads (which I like to see) but none of the Google or paid ads.  Also you might want to make sure you don't have some sort of malware on your computer.  To me it is suspicious that you cannot see the legit images on the page but see lewd ads.  I would clean out the browser's temporary files/cache and then run a scan with antivirus in safe mode (I use MS Security Essentials as it is free and not a resource hog).

Actually if you are seeing strange advertisement it could be because of Google's interest based ads. :)
They track usage and show ads corresponding your browsing history.   So if you have a teenager/husband using the computer (alone) it could explain things.

Oli, it was a lingere ad, not an adult site ad. And I have no husband or teenager in the house, just me. Guess they thought since I'm a woman, I'd be interested...

Okay, I have updated to IE 9, and still cannot see photos. I have selected that I'm having difficulty seeing them by cliicking the tab on my profile. When I run the website in Compatibility View, I can see the front page ads. However when I click on a thread to view it, I cannot see photos in the thread, nor can I see avatar pictures. The ad photos also disappear, as does the picture of Oli's favourite dog at the top right.

I do not even get the red box with an X in it that I'm used to seeing when pictures don't load properly. It's as if the picture doesn't exist!

Help, someone? As I said before, my OS is Windows 7.
