Site working and not working - Page 4

VKGSDs, I went through my internet settings, and saw nothing that would possibly interfere wiith viewing pictures. I did adjust the compatibility settings, and was then able to see the ads on the main page, but they disappear again when I am viewing a thread.

If I have time tomorrow I will try to re-create this problem.  You are up to IE 9 now right?

Maywood, I'm usually a little out of date as well since Mozilla seems to issue updates every few minutes, but I still don't think it's fair to expect Oli to do more work making his site backwards compatible when he's already spending enough time upgrading things and getting it to work smoothly (I'm assuming here that this hasn't been a quick or simple process since over the past few weeks I've seen missing forums, 404 errors, etc). 

Yes, I am. And it gets even weirder!

This morning, I can see photos and avatars in the GSD forum, but not here!

I will try posting a pic here to see if anything has changed, but since avatars are still blocked, i doubt it.

I will also check the other fora, the ones I don't often visit, to see how they load for me.




Okay, I can see the photo just fine now in the editing screen. (Everyone loves puppies, right? :) )  But once I press post, it vanishes!

The Training, GSD and Workinglines fora seem to work just fine for me.

Photos are blocked on the Off Topic, All Breeds and Conformation fora. In Off Topic and Conformation fora, even the ad photos at the top of the page are blocked. However, I can see YouTube videos, which are posted through Adobe Flash Player.

Edit: this is getting more and more confusing. I can see a bitmap image someone posted in this thread: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/forum.read?mnr=650738 but I cannot see the images posted in Fawndallas's "Let's Have Some Dignified Pictures" thread. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/forum.read?mnr=650279&pagen=2

Avatar pics are blocked in that thread, but not the first one!  WTF???

When I click on an ad at the top of the page, it does not link to the ad. If I right-click, it doesn't ask if I want to download the picture, or give me any of the options you usually get when you do this. If I select "Print preview' from the options, I get a preview of the entire pages, with all the posts. So, my computer is refusing to acknowledge there's even a photo there.



I wonder if it's a JPG issue? The cartoon above is a GIF image. Let's see if it works. (Yes, I can see it in my editing screen.)

Sounds like you need to let your cache(s) load. Try the back button trick, now....works for me when I don't see a pix I know was there......

I can see photos( I use Mozilla Firefox) and that is no problem - but in phone I can see only some images in pedigrees.

But I have a problem with the registration of dogs.
I enter the informations and I click on Continue button and then showing up the error page. Also with another version register.html2

If anyone else besides me have that problem?

Beetree, I HAVE tried your suggestion (at this point, I'm about ready to try anything!) but it does NOT work for me!

So sorry to hear it, Sunsilver... Maybe that Rocket stick thing needs an upgrade, too? How old is that?

The only upgrade the Rocket Stuck is gonna get is to be deposited in the circular file (wastebasket) as soon as an alternative is available. I upgraded to a new one back in May, and it is just as bad. To make things worse, I also signed a 3 year contract, which I can't get out of! 

It has never caused compatibility issues with viewing websites. The only problem it has is it is slooow, unreliable, and often drops my connection.
