OR Rottie or Doberman or all of the above Wink Smile.  I doubt Beau really cares too much anyway; he's just happy to have a couch to sleep on.

GSD Lineage,
Jenni has been saying pit from day one. I know....maybe.  I really don't think any of the others, really, especially that big ol' drooly Neopolitan! Ugh.

I actually noticed you inputting an Anatolian Shepherd, the other day. I thought Beau sort of, maybe, could of had a daddy just like those dogs! And you asked about sibs of his... well, I do have one picture of his brother, Loki....a big boy, too, I am told. The big fawn boy with the dark mask in front ....

...whose ears are up.... mostly, LOL

If I remember their story correctly, they were born underneath a mobile home, to his starved mom, who was seized by A/C somewhere in TX. Then rescued, they made their way to NM, and finally to KrazyboutK9's who brought them to MT. And finally Beau was brought by me to CT....all within his first 9 weeks of life! I checked, and there happens to be an Anatolian breeder and rescue in TX, of all places!

Any way, read this...(in your spare time of course, Wink Smile)
http://www.cobankopegi.com/genetica_79.html

A single blue diluted dog has been reported, bred from normal fawn parents. The body fur was pale fawn and the mask was distinctly bluish. The irises of the eyes were light brown and the nose leather was slate-blue, two features which are typical of the dilution (dd)

His coat is soft, especially around his face... could be something to do with the "chinchilla" gene I wonder?. Also, I found this and think I might do the test, one of these days, just for curiousities sake, as I think it is just $40 ... http://www.vgl.ucdavis.edu/services/dog/dilute.php

Beau's going to have a classic shepherd saddle is my feeling, though. Mojo's blanket retreated to a saddle exactly like Beau's is doing.

My DH swears still, and can't be convinced otherwise, that his daddy is Catahoula Leopard Dog. Beau will go after Mojo's tail as a natural tactic, it seems. I throw a ball for them both. Mojo runs off after it! Beau runs off after Mojo's tail! I can't tell you how funny that looks. After all this time Mojo doesn't even get phazed by it any more. His tail looks a bit thin at times, but oh well. That's also why I wouldn't be surprised if he's got some hog doggin' in him, lol. I saw those dogs grab Porky's tail!

LOL@Blitzen,
I never, ever sit on "their" furniture, unlike the teenage boys who will kick them off when they show up for the gaming party. They know which one's are "mine" and to stay off.

Good to see you, too, GG. It has been a while! Beau says, yes, in the doggy world of life, he somehow won the powerball lottery!

Bee,
He's looking great.  I think he could lose a couple of pounds though.  Wink Smile

Bee,
I loved your picture of Beau and the travel bag.  He sure has grown!  In my never ending quest to become more organized I ordered some new gear bags for my SWAT and dog training / working stuff.  I really needed to organize the trunk of my car.  I had Boomer check out the bags and he approved.  I sent these pictures to the bag manufacturer of Boomer's approval.  Best gear bags that I have ever had with a lifetime warranty and I got them at an unreal price.

His shape looks anotolian, and from looking at his litter, dad was most likely a blue fawn sable.
At least two blue sibs. Beau is a good and happy looking dog.
