What does show result "U" mean? Unsatisfactory?

"U" in a dutch show result means Uitmuntend which is equivalent to Excellent or a german V

ungeügend = unsatisfactory or inadequate

It can also mean that the dog was not excused from the show, but failed to appear, I do believe.
