****To answer, the pupps are not microchipped but must be at 7-8 weeks of age or tatooed.*** Ok, now I am even more confused... You sold 2 litters of puppies to the same person AND they are not even 7 weeks old yet??? By your statement I am reading that its the buyers responsibility to microchip these pups after 7 weeks of age so I take it they are younger and are no longer in your posession????

by DKiah on 24 December 2006 - 18:12

And the hits just keep on coming! This has got to be a joke and I'm sorry but no stud owner can dictate what happens to the pups out of his dog unless we co own the litter and the bitch, etc....and there is a written contract and who the heck would sign that??

by Jenijenjen on 24 December 2006 - 18:12

If she is referring to the bitch she was trying to breed to on 10/8/2006 the pups would only be about 2 weeks old.

ANA, After reading more of what you have written here, it is clear to me that you are an idiot. You are nothing more than someone who intends to be a puppy mill and you are unethical. Do us all a favor and if you want to be an idiot, go away and do not bother us with your idiotic posts. Go take a course in ethics - or do you even know what that means?

by PUCCIK9 on 24 December 2006 - 18:12

WELL DKIAH SIMPLY PUT THE CONTRACT I HAVE IS 5 PAGES LONG AND WAS PUT TOGETHER FROM SUGGESTIONS I RECEIVED FROM SOME EUROPEAN BREEDERS AND MY LAWYER. YOU CAN DICTATE PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING IN A CONTRACT AS LONG AS IT IS NOT ILLEGAL. WHY 5 PAGES, BECAUSE SITUATIONS LIKE THIS I HAD TO PROTECT AGAINST FOR MY OWN CONSCIENCE. AND GUESS WHAT, IF YOU DON'T SIGN IT YOU DON'T GET TO USE THE STUD. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. ATLEAST I'LL SLEEP AT NIGHT KNOWING I AM DOING THE BEST I CAN TO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THESE KINDS OF MESSES.

by hodie on 24 December 2006 - 18:12

Good for you PUCCIK9. And I hope that if this ANA used your dog as stud you take this person to task. Yes, I also put similar things in my contracts. I am glad to see someone else who gives a damn about the pups they are making.

THANKS HODIE. I JUST PRINTED OUT THIS ENTIRE POST AND "ANA" PAST POSTS AND HER COMMENTS ON MY DOG IN CASE I NEED IT. MAYBE FROM SOME OF THIS NEGATIVITY SOME GOOD WILL COME. ATLEAST FOR THE PUPPIES. MERRY CHRISTMAS. PINO

DKiah, "boy do you have a lot to learn..." Back at you!!!! Even more as evidenced by your responses. "First, ONE puppy is a TON of work, usually more than the average family is able to handle" I stated "If it is a knowledgeable person with positive reasons for wanting to raise a pair together, what is the problem with that?" Nothing was said about the average family. "I can't handle it, and I've been doing this a very long time and raising pups is my "thing"" I can and others do, so why judge others by your shortcomings? "Second, puppies are very expensive and two are more... again... it just doesn't work" Opinion overload, it has worked for me and several others for almost 30 years, so trumped your opinionated response again. "Third, puppies will bond to each other and not give a spit about the people they live" This lack of understanding dogs and misconception is a myth perpetuated the uninformed and the inexperienced. How do you explain homes with multiple titled dogs if they bond to each other instead? "with and then one or both will end up with a rescue or in a pound or back to the breeder or worse, much worse" Another emotional opinionated response due to the lack of understanding dogs and promoting a misconception, that is a myth perpetuated the uninformed and the inexperienced. Why the over simplification of a forcast of doom and gloom? Many people title more than one dog. Many trial more than one in the same trial. "People get 2 puppies because they think they can raise each other and it leaves them free to do what they want..just doesn't work..... seen it a gazillion times..It's our society, we want and we want but we don't want to do the work!!" Pull your head out of the dark ages of dog training and understanding, you keep spewing these old fashioned uneducated and uninformed old wives tales. When not in training, it is fine for two puppies or dogs to play. Isolating dogs, separating, keeping away from other dogs, makes dog aggressive dogs. How are dogs to develop proper social behavior with other dogs and people if they are keep in isolation? Look at the dog aggressive dogs on a training field, most are from a spoiled only dog home. I've seen it a gazillion times, dogs raised around other dogs and people are more social and higher quality dogs. "I'm sure Molly will agree with me, most buyers who put on a good show about being gungho and knowledgeable are fibbing to us and we find out later, the hard way .. that's why a really good buyer who listens to us and keeps in touch is a dream come true and few and far between!!" How do you lie about being "knowledgeable" a few of the proper questions and you can tell how knowledgeable a person is. A few questions will lead to a few more if there are any lingering doubts. You can verify references too. Not only with people but trail information is posted online too. To sum all of this up "boy do you have a lot to learn..." Martin

Thanks Molly & Martin ! agree wholly!! I had a man throw my contract at me last week, and said "No woman is gonna tell me how to raise my shepherd" I showed him the front gate He emailed me later that evening and apologized and ask did I still have the female? You know what my answer was///////He said he was upset because he just lost his due to death which I already knew....when I started asking questions as he looked at the litter it was obviouss I wasnt selling him a gsd.

by PaulG on 24 December 2006 - 19:12

Dkiah I can tell you that almost anything can be put into a contract and enforced. I used this stud and our lawyers agreed to sign it and we will abide by it. I have total respect for people like him, hodie and others who take an active part in the well-being of of not only the puppies they sell but also the puppies that come from the semen they stud out. Your hearts are truly in the right place. ANA I assume you were asked to sign the same contract as I and I can not believe your idiocy. Other than $$$$$ why would you do that? I dont wish to be critical but even if that point wasnt covered in the contract it is surely clear as to not being in the animal's best interest. Sorry and best of the season to you all.Paul
