the Ol'Line Rebel

I don't come here that much, but in the last couple years every time I do it changes at least a bit.

This time I wanted to look for a Collie pedigree.

I couldn't find it, because every time I search, it looks in the German Shepherd DB!

This hasn't happened to me before.

I tried to make sure I was in the best place, best page.  Doesn't seem to work.  Cannot seem to break free of the fact I chose GS as my preferred breed some time ago.

Anyone know?  Or is this another glitch?

Rebel,

Once you pick a breed preference you will only be able to search in that breed. Go to Site in top menu and then breed preference and clear the choices now you will be able to search in all pedigrees. Or better yet add Collie to your preferences and that will allow you to search both GSDs and Collies.

If you have a cleared preff you can search for each breed in the pull down menu.
This is rough or Smooth Collie?

How to Set the Breed Preference:
Instructions:

1. Go To the Site Pull down menu on the top navigation.
2. Choose Breed Preference page (Takes you to a page with all the breeds)
3. Press on the Yellow Button that Says Clear Selection, (See All Breeds)
4. Check the box that says   ←→ The Breed you want
5. Scroll down and press the green button that says "Save Changes"

Way number two

1. Go To the Site Pull down menu on the top navigation.
2. Choose Breed Preference page (Takes you to a page with all the breeds)
3. Press on the Yellow Button that Says Clear Selection, (See All Breeds)
4. Go to the top pull down menu that says Dog Breeds
5. Select Pictures of all the dog breeds .
6. Select the breed you want ( You will be taken to the breed page of your choice)
7. Press on the button under the breed picture in aqua Blue that says " Make _____ one of your preferred breeds on this Website" .

Thanks for the answers.

So, "preference" is not really a preference or simple default, it's a lock-down absolute, even if I'm in the other breed page.  (Not to mention the drop-down asking for breed is useless when it has 1 breed listed in it, so there is no choice as implied.)  One has to brute-force it, backing out then going in to use other breeds, or have a giant list of names for multiple breeds.

That really should be changed, if possible.  I know things are hard to work on, but there is just another tip for the site to be better.

I think my best option then is to add Collie (btw, I wish it were just "Collie", not broken into varieties).  OK then!  Thank you for all you do.

*****I just found that at least I can indeed narrow it to Collies when I search.  I thought from the reply above I'd be searching all Collies and GS if I put them in as my preference!  That makes it better!
