Dog or bitch...who do you like? whoses influence has an impact? and why? This doesn't have to be a present day dog. I'm working on a project and would appreciate any and all input. What do you like or not like? If you were linebreeding....who do you like? who would you stay away from? Lots of questions, I know, but if you can give input that would be nice. thank you.

WEll that all depends on what you are looking for......if you want tons of energy, drives andcorrectanetc then I would say the Amie, Winnie, Fenga vom Kirschental....these lines go to Rakker, Lierberg, Busecker Schloß etc Seline....powerhouses:):):) There are others....Go to their website and check out the "family tree" to help you see where who comes from what. Hopethathelps

WOW hard to post a message on this thing....anyways, what I meant to say was correct structure along with the other things I mentioned. These lines are very strong but there are others....with similar background. (Seline-wouldn't let me change it) I meant that most of their lines go back to very strong dogs which do come through the genes. Michele

I am purchasing a female pup from them, working line. for my daughter to train in SAR work. Pup to born Late February. She is so excited. The sire is not their dog, but we like him. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/484167.html

Lots of great dogs, but Eiko vom Kirschental and his dam Xitta vom Kirschental both contributed to may great lines through line-breeding. They both have had a positive impact on working and show lines. Just may feelings. Don

LOL not too many females or males can really surpass what Xitta vom Kirschental accomplished. She is my idol as well, since I discovered Kirschental dogs years ago. Not only VA but also SchH3/FH/HGH/IP3 And once again you can see where the strength comes from in spite of the Klämmel and Canto connections. Also goes to Blanka v Mummelsee, considered the herding pillar by many. You might also note that many BSP participants come through their dogs. Also many of their dogs are/and have been suitable for K9, SAR etc. world wide. Their dogs are not extreme, but true to the standard and built to work. There are several other Va dogs to their name, it is on their history page. A fine accomplishment indeed! For those that don't know me, I think I am the Kirschental queen of North America, don't think anyone owns more than I do LOL but I have found these lines to be very consistent in how they produce.....mostly excellent temperaments, drives and structure..they are not extreme but built to work and still beautiful. Congrats 1Doggie2, I am sure you will be very pleased with your choice:)

I think that I like all Kirschental dogs. For example: Matzo-Pirol-Fenga-Lailana-Amie-Asta-Crixie-Ero-Foxiena-Xitta-Jakie- Sherry-Quecke-Xanta-Xantia-Zula-Uwe and many. I'm doing a Kirschental album and can't find any photo of Ostra Kirschental.
