be careful working flighty cattle with a cattle prod, many will instinctively kick out with great potential for injury to the "prodder".

by joanro on 09 April 2014 - 01:04

vk, "is she a lurk and liker?" haha.

by joanro on 09 April 2014 - 01:04

I have thank Midgie1007 for showing respect for this forum by withdrawing her "dislike" thumbs down from my posts. Only one left, but, hey, it was a noble thing...thank you, Midgie.

vk  - you could have asked Carlin about whether you can 'like'

your own posts !   What Smile

Thanks for doing the experimental exercise,  I had sussed how

to operate the new system but not asked questions eg  "Can you

like a post multiple times ?".

Still wondering what prompts anybody to press the 'dislike' after

every single post they read by any other individual poster ?

Genuinely curious;  Midgie not the only person by a long chalk,

judging by what happened when we had the like/dislike facility

available last time (but could not see who thought what).  Wondering

hund, you mock my work, i covered the multiple like/dislike option already....no you can't

thinking of re-naming the sliding scale of likeness;

lowest end (extreme dislike) would be "BYB, untitled, puppy mill" the extreme like would be "BSP podium"

ETA, hund left click on yr latest dislike ^^

Wink Smile

vk, I wasn't mocking !   I really had sussed already that when you

click on the fists you can register your pro or anti position,  and that

if you click the actual buttons you see who made the like/agree  or

dislike/disagree; (TY, btw !).  I was debating with myself whether to

spell that out to teach posters who had not worked it out yet,  when

you did that but with the added refinements (which had not occurred to

me!)  Teeth Smile

I think your sliding scale may be a measure too far for Oli to manage.

My problem is so what if someone dislikes my post, better to know your enemies instead of trying to bully/shame them into changing it, take that knowledge and use it wisely. The names have been changed to agree/disagree in hopes it will reflect more on the idea and not the person. Lets grow up here and not let disagrees reflect on our insecurities or past issues.

This post is in general and not to be taken as being against any one person. Lets try to agree and disagree with the ideas and not use this against members we may not like for whatever reason.
