The shows there are probably akin to 4h in the US....showing off livestock, which do bring exhorbitant prices also.

I saw a post a while back about these dogs. There are kennels over there that are breeding the GSD with the Rottweiler to come up with a grossly disfigured dog such as these. I actually found a website to a breeder and although I could not read a word the wrote with out copying and translating it was obvious what they were doing. I'll have to see if I can find that again. It even went into detail about how many generations it took to get a  consistent look.

Rotties? Really? I don't see that, but it would be interesting to read how they did it.

Rottie pups at early birth age look exactly alike with the black pup with big heads and two red dots over the eyes...

SOME of our pups that eat well at birth the first week could be mistaken for little rotties...I saw a litter at vet the day I took my daughters cat in... THEY were rotties not gsd but look exactly the same the first week.

LOL

I have seen on internet the atrosocities that China has done..and I think they should be banned from SV as german shepherds.

What about those big hanging lips and gigantic dewlaps?  Their bodies aren't that far from some of the overdone GSD's I've seen in photos, just bigger. A Mastiff breed maybe? Danes? All of the above?

The massive heads, loose flews, skin folds... It's a look that's popular in the East. You can speak about the GSDs, but look at what has happened to the Chow Chow and Dosa (not Tosa; they're different breeds) in China and Korea. The Sharpei is another breed that hardly looks like it's original progenitors.

Like any other group of fanciers, they breed to what they consider ideal. Fad breeding, or geographic preference. It doesn't take long to produce dogs of a certain type. Honestly, I doubt any outcrossing was involved. There is nothing that resembles many of the current specimens they're producing in various breeds. Even breeds like the Tibetan mastiff are getting lost under rolls of excess skin in recent years.

Here is the Chinese siegerin from last weekend's SV style show. She is Eyla vom Winnloh.

So, have no fear, these monstrous dogs are NOT winning at SV type shows!

I agree, J.C..these are most likely selectively bred purebred GSD's, some enhanced by photoshopping. It's not really that bizarre when you look at the evolution of the German siegers. Does anyone honestly think todays siegers look like the ones from the 70's. People seem  to have a talent for ruining most dog breeds.

These Mace Bulks aren't going to be competing in the Chinese show ring. They are intended to make money for their misdirected breeders.

This is what happens when a country rewrites the international (FCI) breed standard.
