Gigante,

You are right, Adversity at it's best. I have been brought up to work for what you have, that you put in a days work for a days pay. Treat others as you want to be treated. There are bigger thing in today's world to deal with than a pup. It is just upsetting to be ripped off. It has not been the first and i'm sure it won't be the last. We named him Bear short for Barron.

Thank you for the offer but i'm sure Bear will do fine. I looked at some of your pups if i'm ever in the market for another one I may contact you. For now good day. Happy Easter.

Thank You

Kevin Woolums.

I would go with a pup from Christina at Wendelin Farms. Last time I spoke to her she also had adolescent progeny from Javir Talka Marda , and also from Hoky Va Pe; and she also has pups from great Czech breedings as well and would give you references you can contact.

Mithuna, did you read the thread? He's not looking for a different puppy. Gigante was just being nice and saying *IF* the puppy didn't work out, as the puppy was not the puppy they chose, he would give them one. They thought they bought a DDR puppy and that's what they wanted. Javir and Hoky are no closer to DDR puppies, or Wisconsin, lol, than the puppy they already have.

Really nice breeding there, Mithuna I'll bet 90% of that litter went out as service dogs.  Thumbs Up

Christina sells out her litter quickly.

I would definitely NOT go to Wendelin Farms. I purchased from her almost exactly 2 years ago. The pup I got was over 3 months old when I purchased it and due to weather problems was nearly 4 months old when she arrived. She arrived small, underweight and with "NO" food drive. I won't go into all the issues with the dog but I will say that Christina should have known the food drive issue, and probably did. So now I only buy dogs I can evaluate in person. NO more getting screwed by breeders who either do not know their dogs or are just dishonest.

I looked at the 2 pictures you linked to, went back and forth, back and forth. There are two things that are a bit distinct:
First, underneath the left eye of the puppy in the first picture is a faint straight line going downward at a diagonal. Second, also in that picture the rear left paw is at a bit of a tilt and bevels outward when he sits. The right paw doesn't.

The puppy in the 2nd picture has that same diagonal line going down the left of his face, only more pronounced. Also, he happens to be in that same sitting position as in the first picture: the rear left paw is beveling a bit outward and the right one, again, is not. I doubt many puppies have that particular pattern in their rear paws when sitting.

That diagonal line as well as the left rear paw tilting out a bit in both pictures makes me think that it could well be the same puppy. Ears up or ears down can make a big difference in how a GSD puppy (and adult) look. Perhaps that gave the impression he may be a different puppy when, in fact, it was only the ears down that made him look so different. Are they up now? If so, it would be great to see one more picture of him now with the ears up again.

Either way, however, he has the look of a very nice pup and sounds like he is quite a likable little guy. Congratulations on a wonderful new family member!

Yes, ears can fall...but ears that were totally up rarely, if ever, fall down to "Lab style." They remain upright at the base, but the rest of the leather flops down. I find it very hard to believe that puppy's (the one that was shipped) ears suddenly went from totally up to flat to his head.

Yeah from wendelin you can even pick from two sires of the one litter - not cash crops at all.
