This whole thread was BS. I really like how the story was nicely tied up all full circle with the dog getting a home w/o any record of having to be on an adoption web site. and how you were privileged enough to know how badly the cops were going to shoot the dog and all. WOW!!! Someone needs a hug, some positive attention and stuff.

You said it, Troublelinx, but you aren't the only person thinking along those lines !

Situation took an interesting twist. Owner told me that the "new owner " , the rescue org people came to her hosp to ask her to sign over the dog, because the AC officer was the rescue owner friend and just gave the dog to the rescue without the owner signing over. The original has refused to sign over , and the AC officer is now begging to not be reported to her supervisor because she might be fired; being fired she says she will not be able to pay her mortgage. It was discovered that the AC officer went in her own lunch time ( not in official work hours ) to help the rescue owner " take the dog " . Now the AC officer is begging to not be reported to higher ups. There is a vid of the actual rescue and the AC officer is in the vid ( pole and lasso in hand ). Even though the dog has not been signed over to her she is already collecting money via pay pal to assist the dog.
THis whole situation brings the rescue community into disrepute and it seems in this case they were enabled by local town AC rogue officer.

With the dogs reputation, it likely couldn't have been adopted out to the general public.

Yes but it was unlawful for AC to turn it over to a rescue without the owner signing off permission. The AC officer is now scared about her job because she did a favor for a friend during her lunch hour ( not official work time ).
The original owner does not want to sign over the dog.

IMO sounds as if the 'original owner' needs a good kick up the butt.

"An elder acquaintance is committed to hospital and is giving up his dutch impory working GSD."

Why did she change her mind? I´d be thankful in case people helped my helpless dog...

The sex of the owner changed? What kind of hospital stay was it? I would not be so quick to condemn the ACO for not placing the dog in a situation where it would be put down. That's gratitude for you.
