It Has Been Awhile - Page 1

I haven't been here in awhile.  Been very busy.  My daughter got married in August.   Planning a wedding is hard work! Then to top it off, my son got married four months after her!   I'll post his picture next.

Are you still teaching and how are your dogs, too?

Thanks Mindhunt! I am glad for some quiet time now. Hosting on a big scale has never been my thing, but all went well.

Thanks Bee! I am still teaching. I am down to two gsds....we had to put one down last February due to a sudden spinal cord injury and paralysis which caused so much pain that our vet could not do anything about. Very difficult as she was my ❤️ dog.

My daughter wore a 58 year old wedding dress. It was purchased and worn by my mom on her wedding day and worn by me on my wedding day! So three generations wore the same dress. We were interviewed and there was an article about it in our local newspaper. Very special memories for all of us. I will try to post pictures of the three brides in the dress.

GG, I had an inkling that it was an heirloom dress! That is truly special and an amazing story, and so generous of you to share! All three of you, each generation are blessed with this incredible family tradition of beautiful brides and loving marriages that last.

Thanks Bee! My parents have been married for over 58 years, my husband and I have been married for over 31 years, and my daughter always wanted to wear the wedding dress ever since she was a little girl. Hoping a fourth generation can wear it one day since it is in amazing shape. BTW my mom bought it in a department store for $150! We did have a seamstress who specializes in restoring wedding gowns spruce it up at the tune of $900.
