Ah Ok because you've seen it, it automatically has to be what you say it is?

Tell me have you seen these Black west german showline dogs pedigrees?

Because Neither Tracelyn nor Fouranfass breed Black west german showlines.  They breed Black dogs on mixed predominantly English and Germanic/English lines with a nice big chunk of DDR from Quiyk thrown in.

Just because they show doesn't mean they are showlines.

Hamza,
David does not have black dogs in his program. If he did, they would be from workinglines. Again: Please post links to pedigrees or at least, websites to the breeders.
To make this a vialable conversation here: What constitutes a German showline for you? Can you tell us?
I tell you my opinion: For me, showline starts at Quanto and Canto Wienerau. I purposely exclude Mutz (the third pilar), because he was still somewhat used by working orientated breeders as well and often can be traced to in a workingline pedigree.
So, please show me a black dog who goes back multiple times to these two dogs without any workingline blood in there!

Chris, thanks for the tid bit on Timo. I did not know that his sable comes from working lines. But, there is much I do not know about these dogs.

Hi Rik,
just go ahead and study VA-2 Timo vom Berrekasten's pedigree and then the 1989 WUSV Champion Fado von Karthago! They share a common ancestor: V-Dax von der Kesmarker Tränke! Dax is Fado's paternal grandfather (through V-Harro von der Lechrainstadt) and also appears in Timo's 3rd generation as his maternal great-grandfather. The sable mother of Timo's sire Wanko, V-Ronja vom Lippischen Norden was 50% showline (V-Natz v. Huize Hintdonk - Uran Wildsteiger Land son and Heike - mother to Odin v. Tannenmeise) and 50% workinglines (V-Dax and V-Assi vd Falkenzinne, a female out of old Busecker Schloß-lines). Granted that we now breed with Timo's grandchildren and great grandchildren, I would wager to say that Timo's descendants are only about 5 to 6 generations removed from some workingline pedigrees. This is one of the things I like to use as an argument in the discussion of pros and cons of mixing lines.

thanks molly&jack. I have found some very nice pictures of the DDR line dogs.

Also thanks to everyone who posted, as i now know that the black german shepherd is a DDR line gsd, but somne could actually be shown, as they have the same type of image.

Now regardless of all this line discussion, could anyone by any chance, send me links to websites of black german shepherd breeders, apart from the ones that have already been mentioned.

Hamza... not all Black GSD's are DDR line.

(Can someone please explain, as I really haven't had enough coffee yet for my brain to function on full warp!)

There are plenty of people in the UK breeding Blacks, mainly pet lines, not aimed specifically at the showring, but several do very well.  There are also plenty of Working line breeders in the UK most will breed blacks, but they aren't breeding for colour, they are breeding for what the dog can do.
