Hi Heather

You went to GSD  Champ show N. Ireland last year too ! It would be interesting to hear  your opinion when your good friend Herr Fenton awarded you the dog CC from the puppy class & the bitch CC as well ? Dont tell me this wasnt a fix . Has the puppy dog even won a class at a show since ? Some shows & judges not corrupt ? get real you lot .

ps
await your reply (which wont come) with interest

I`ll reply to you NoFear (which by the way you are posting on all of these positive threads, should read Fear)  I was at the show you refer to..... this puppy dog looked fantastic, performed fantastically, and so did the other dogs of Heather and Daves. The judge gave a very credible reason to all who were there as to why he got his award...  I should be the one with a glum look as Nadia beat Dessie at the last moment, but you know what ??  -  its a dog show  -  and we all went away to compete another day - hopefully in as good company...and if any of us think back that far and have problems with the results, we are in serious trouble with our minds - think about that.   Mo.

penny etc.
just to say i found mr. ruston's judging quite accurate at the show i attended once-yes true he gave me b.o.b but he didn't know me from adam.
just a point on the other topic, that is, putting up a puppy for the top honours.is it true that in germany this would never happens as they have to be a certain age.this has happened quite a few times with foreign judges who come over here.so i suppose you can understand the conspiracy theories that abound.especially when the dog never repeats the success. also doesn't say much for the adult dogs at the show-does it !

LOL  & the reason has absolutely nothing to do with Herr Fenton being good friends & owning dogs in partnership . Did Mr Fenton actually not say that the open bitch winner was the best there but he was giving it to the younger female ! I wonder why LOL & the puppy the best male there. Laughing louder !

Many years ago I attended a show where Mike Ruston was judging, an open show, and he witheld the first place in junior class because of.................loose hocks and questionable movement behind! How do I know this? It was my dog!  I took his decision for what it was, I already knew the dog was never going to be the best mover in the world, and had to agree with him. Relevant or not, the dog returned a hip score of 58,  I rest my case!

Hi Pencil,
I agree with your point regarding youngsters getting top honours its right - yes it has happened so much of later years that perhaps I have become a bit complacent about it happening - which is wrong - and hopefully our "proper" shows - Regional SV style, will stop all of this happening, one can hope.
Fear - cant be bothered any more with you, cos if you can remember all that time exactly what a judge said to twist and scheme, you are best left to your own devices.  Mo.

yes have to agree with yu both with regards to youngesters, especially puppies from getting the top awards and the new regional events will hopefully stop this happening.however when a foreign judge accepts a kc champ.show appointment he has to abide by their rules and they have to award the challenge and reserve challenge certificates to the animals, which in their opinion are the best.so come on guys leave the green eyed monsters at home.i too had a male animal who was unsound behind.didnt show him much because of it(his hip score was 6/7=13)one judge put his hind action in a nutshell, didnt use the word unsound but UNCOORDERNATED.Carole Spelman.

My bitch won Junior. I don't know Mike personally and I like to think she won because she deserved it.
I'm saddened that Kimi has found the need to start this thread.
If you feel so strongly about the judges decision, do something on the day. Ditto to No Fear.

Best wishes and congratulations to all winners - especially to Waro and Razzamataz - both beautiful animals.

Fear

Been there and done that with the NI show and i made my comments very clearly then.  I do not agree with puppies getting top honours but if a judge chooses to give one out, then so be it.  As for it happening in Germany then yes it has actually.  However, there are very few shows in Germany where they have a Best of Sex but when they have, i know of it being awarded to a puppy on more than one occasion.  However, the majority of wusv/sv shows have no Best of Sex competition which in my opinion is the way forward.  Winners remain winners end of.

As for your comments on being such very good friends with the judge.   Eh?  I don't think so.  Friends in my opinion are in regular contact and see each other on a regular basis.  Yes, i know him, yes he has a female of ours.  No i do not speak to him on a regular basis and i certainly don't see him.  In fact, the last time was at that very show in September and indeed that is the last time i spoke to him.  Very good friends obviously!  But then again, like i have said before people will see what they want to see when looking for a conspiracy theory!  As for the dog not winning anything since, wrong!  He was shown once the following month and won Best Dog again from Puppy.  And if you knew anything about us, which you obviously don't, you would also know why he has not been shown here since.  But, he will be again, of that i can assure you.

How any of this compares to our dog winning at Fife Open show is beyond me though but hey some people just don't like to see others winning too much do they?  Even if they have the best dogs on the day.  Some will always look for a reason to criticise instead of looking at the dogs on the day in the ring.  You never hear of the successful kennels coming on to moan when they get beat do you?  They take it on the chin and are able to look at the other dogs and accept if a better dog wins.  If they don't agree then fine, they still accept it on the chin and live to fight another day.  That's dog showing for you, not everyone has the same opinion on each dog and that is how is should be.  But they can appreciate a good dog, no matter who the owner is.

In the UK, you are fine if you do a little winning but my god, don't do too much or they nail you to the cross.  Well, you know what, we will keep breeding as we do, showing what we show and keep trying to win every time out!  If we don't win, we won't moan, we will just keep training and trying harder and harder to make them even better next time out.

I would suggest you go back to you biking, as it's obviously more suited to you than dog showing, which has made you a very negative and bitter person.

I look forward to conversing with you again as i hope we will win again and no doubt you will be there with your conspiracy theories over why we won!  (shock horror lol)
