Yes i know, what im trying to say, is that, i have now found quite a lot of info on DDR lies, and realise that they also have black german shepherds, that would do quite well in the showring.

I'm not interested in the german shepherds that are pet quality, or for pure working and sport purposes.

I know of one breeder now investing quite a bit in time and finances to "re introduce" the black back into the show ring and able to compete.

If I understood correctly, she has a goal of 10 years in mind. So I guess she does not feel it can be done quickly. Her foundation for this project is a V rated working line female and the first generation in this is now 6 mo. old or so.

These pups (B/T)will have the ability to produce another generation of blacks. So I am very interested to see the male she chooses for this next generation.

The sire is one of the top rated s/l in Germany, noted for very good character and side gait.

Rik could you send a link to her website if she has 1?

HAMZA.     If a black dog / bitch is good enough to win in the showing classes does it really matter whether it comes from the working or  the showing lines ??????????.   If you see behind a lot of working line dogs there is a show line dog in there somewhere and vice versa !.

Chris,

You have black dogs that stand out.  What do you have in the plans for litters???
Let me know,

Robin. Chris is the breeder that I refer to above. She is always very free with her advice and experience.

Also, she was kind enough to share her and Joe's goals with me when I visited their kennel.

She has been "runnofft" by the stooges. I'm happy to provide link where she says "goodbye" because of the never ending harassment her kennel recieves whenever she shows up here.

After all, who in their right mind would value advice from a breeder, exhibitor of not only V rated S/L in Germany and the U,S., but also V rated working lines.

Maybe you can induce here to come back and share with us and ignore the "nothing yet proven" crowd.

Best,
Rik

Oh...Rik..
I've been fighting on the "other side"....just look under my name.
I actually love her dogs......I hope in the spring....thats why I asked, I may be looking for a black female.....that is...if she would consider letting me invest in one.

I missed you Rik!
Sometimes woman need men around!
LOL,
Robin
