A reminder to folk who dont want to read all through this thread.   BuMP in this case means that you agree that there is no clarity in the BAGSD EC on dealing with the KC letter and members votes, and that there should be by now a cut off date given so that we all know when we have to vote by and by then ALL members should have been informed to allow them to exercise their right to vote..
Mo.

One BUMP for agreement

TWO BUMPS if you are also a BAGSD member.

Thanks

We want our VOTE we paid for it, we have the right.

This from JJ - who no longer wants to use the pdb - but understandably feels he.she should get voting rights.   Mo.

As a member of the BAGSD EC I would like to help the current situation for those people who are members of BAGSD and are concerned they may not be registered at one of our branches . If this is the case I am quite prepared to take your vote to the EC meeting on the 21st of February. All you have to do is e.mail me with your name and current membership number and a YES or NO vote and I can assure you your vote will be counted. For those of you who are regulars on this data base and have friends who wish to vote who do not use the data base can you please pass this message on.  It was made very clear in our vice chairman`s e.mails Mr Lacey,  to the Branch Secretary's that he wanted them to collate the votes at each individual Branch and return these back to our General Secretary by the 21st of February. From this as an EC member I understood that this was the cut off date . On this day the 21st we have a EC meeting and the results would be discussed and then the membership would be informed.

The final paragraph in Mr Lacy`s letter read : if you hold a referendum please advise of the numbers for and against and abstaining, ensuring that their membership is current.

It would appear that we may have branches who do not wish to have a referendum in which case they need to know that their individual members can still vote and need to be informed.  Over the next few days I will contact our branches to make sure they  fully understand the situation.

Hopefully there will be no need for the continuation of this thread apart from those who may wish to promote either a YES or NO VOTE in the case of BAGSD and will no doubt post as they see fit to do so, at the same time our secretary can be left to do the job she has been asked to do by the EC which is count the votes and present them to the EC on the 21st.

My e.mail address is john@johndavidw.plus.com Any individual votes can be sent to this address and will be presented on your behalf on the 21st. Remember Name and Current Membership Number must be supplied

I hope this helps the current situation .
John Ward EC Member BAGSD
