I'm New to this site (3days).under the picture of the male (G Irvin Vom Florentine)who sired my 4 yo dog,I saw this.I'm sure its german, Example: his dam,(Cloey Vom Haus Gordon) it says(under her pic.)HD-EXCELLENT,in english, is that for hips & elbows ?PLZ someone explain !!THANKS

I'm not sure what 'zeurkannt' means but am guessing it's a misspelling of 'zuerkannt' which is German for 'awarded'. HD-Excellent is an OFA hip score only.

So, what does it mean? Does it mean that the dog has HD or not? Thanks. I too don't understand what this "Zuerkannt" means. Anyone can shed some light?

As Keith said zuerkannt simply means awarded.
Excellent HD presumably means rating here is better than average? Pretty subjective description?

Sorry Olddog, I owe you an aplogy. I mistook you for someone else. Soe, I gess Zeurkannt means no HD, right!!!??? Sort of an acknowledgement that there is no HD.

Hi Layla,
No Layla - they are separate questions.
Zuerkannt refers to awarding of various titles etc.
The 'excellent' refers to degree of hip dysplasia - different animal.
