Wanting To Show In SV and Want To Title My Dogs Any Ideas In The Ohio Area? - Page 1

I want to get a CD And BH title on my dogs and also want to show in the SV shows. I have put in my app for the USA. But i'm just starting out with this and want to do it the right way. I have talked to local Schutzhund Clubs and will be joining one of them as well. But my older dog would do best with a CD or BH title and my pup is to young yet. So any ideas or links to websites that anyone knows about would be a lot of help. thanks

Join a local working German Shepherd Dog club. Loook up local clubs on WDA-USA GSDC website for clubs in your area. With your club fees you can get help training/raising your dogs, hook up with others who train/breed GSDs, etc. Sometimes these clubs will host breed shows and trials - giving you an opportunity to show/compete.
You can also try the USA website for local clubs. As they tend to be more focused on SchH. For a begiiner, the WDA may be a little less intimidating. It depends on the club and its members.

What part of Ohio are you in? If anywhere near the Cleveland/Medina County area, OG Buckeye Sch Clu, a USA club. This is a great club, with wonderful people and excellent training. There is also a USA club in the Coumbus area, and Dean Calderon recently relocated to the Columbus area. In southwestern Ohio, there is Greater Cincinnati. i'm in the columbus area. i did get in touch with the Mid-Ohio schH club and will be going to watch one of there events next week. still working on finding a show for my pup. but i hope someone will know when i goto the meeting next week. thanks for your help

There are two USA SchH clubs in Columbus and several more within a few hours' drive, so you've got good choices.
