Gone quiet on this thread recently - perhaps everyone is busy reading their letter from the BAGSD secretary I told you would be popping through the letterbox if you only waited.

May I suggest one of the reasons the thread has gone quiet is because at my request the very people who should be making sure a vote is submitted from real German Shepherd enthusiast have been doing just that rather than posting on the Data Base. Unfortunately unlike most GSD clubs in the UK BAGSD have a membership made up of mostly genuine pet owners who train weekly at our branches, most of our EC train these members week in and week out and they should be given full credit for their time and committment . However, very worrying is that a decision by a WUSV member club on such an important issue such as the recent KC letter hinges on a vote from this membership really concerns me. To the best of my ability I am making this very clear to all those that will listen.
What will be very interesting is the number of votes cast from the VPG branches made up from the SHOW / Working Side of the Association which for me is more meaningful , and these are the very people who have a committed interest in the breeds future. This is the reason I voted for a NO vote at the EC meeting along with another VPG EC member. The recent addition to the never ending pages of endorsements with only few submitted so far( one every couple of weeks so I make that another three to go) from the KC make me realize more than ever that a NO is the right vote . I believe in a Democratic vote, and will accept the decision but to think it hinges on a vote from some guy who walked in off the street last week with his first GSD, this I cannot come to terms with.

BAGSD Voting rights for members closes by Sunday. It apparently isnt being counted by Sunday - but has been chosen to close on that day. If anyone wants their vote taken to the Breed Council meeting tomorrow, if you would email to me by latest 11.30am - I will print and give to one of the EC committee at that meeting.
