Goldie, wot utter crap Mr.Brandon preaches.i have a female at home sitting on 2 CC,s.She is a pet first and foremost and a show animal 2nd.SHE IS A CHAMPION IN MY EYES,as everyones animals are in their eyes. Now i can understand why the animal i saw at a champ.show last year had his tail tucked underneath his body and was trembling from head to toe.all i can say is ...... i feel for these animals in his care.i,ve loved everyone of my dogs whether they have won in the showring or not.As Steve Foran says ....winning is bloody nice but its not the be all and end all.i,ve never ousted any animal when its out lived its usefulness.i,ve always had my oldies and have even kept the ones who i,ve bred that never made it to the showring.why should i be made to feel that they would have a better life as the only 1 in the family.mine were walked ,fed well, even when we didn,t have much money, had lots of love and in my opinion didnt deserve to be ousted just coz they had some disqualifying fault for the showring.Carole S.
