Has anyone heard the latest? I haven 't seen anything for quite some time- did I miss something?

The GSD in your avatar has a lovely dark mask.

You know, I'd love to see legit confirmation about this as well.  I just keep reading internet rumors but have never seen anything official.

Hi,
Silbersee, who is a member here, is  a member of the SV, and I believe she attended the June 2009 meeting in which it was announced.  For those who are members of the green board, here is the corresponding thread regarding the June 2009 SV meeting:  Unfortunately if you are not a member of the green board, you won't be able to read the thread.  Maybe Silbersee will see this PDB post and comment on it:
 http://www.gsdworld.net/invboard/index.php?showtopic=18736

And here is a link to the USA revised show rules showing that there will now be classes for Long Stock Coats:
http://www.germanshepherddog.com/documents/BreedShowRegulations.pdf

Finally, I have a friend who is entering her long stock coat in an upcoming
show so she can his show rating so she can then get him breed surveyed.

Hey Sue,
Thanks for the links. It looks like it is official if I understand it correctly. I'm just surprised I haven't heard more about it.
The best, Char

For anyone else that is interested here is a quote from the second link that Sue provided:

2.9. Long Stock Coat Classes – Dogs with a long stock coat with undercoat may be shown in
separate classes. The same class and age designations apply to the long stock coat with
undercoat classes as the standard classes.

It is not official!!!
The Board of Directors of the FCI will have to vote on it a couple of weeks.
The SV has a remark explaining the circumstances under their "Koerordnung" (Breed Survey Regulations): www.schaeferhund.de/site/index.php

Hi Silbersee:  Thanks for the information.  When I clicked on the link you provided, I thought it said the FCI meeting was to be in April?   Does this mean the meeting was in April but they have not voted on it?  I am going to mention this to my friend who has entered her LSC  in a show to be held this month, just in case they don't vote in time.  It would be an awful waste of entry fees, handler fees, time, gas money, etc..  if it turns out any show card rating on a LSC would be invalidated because of it not being official yet.

Sue, How did you read that link? It's in German!
