Many thanks for the link, I am looking forward to reading it. I had a skim, but will read it properly when I have a little more time!

Mr L Donald May I firstly give my personal thanks for your input into this thread.
At last the effects of the evolution of the breed explained in simple terms and illustrated with drawings. This completely removes the the feeling of personal attack which commonly besets these forums. Please may I have your permission to print off your paper so that I may pass the information to those breeders who frequently pose the question of what has
caused the deterioration in the breeds movement. Many Thanks John Leadbeater

Mr. Donald, thank you for the article and for your insight. It's going to take more than one reading to digest, but it has put into perspective some things I have learned about the GSD and caused me to rethink some things that I thought I had learned.

Particularly enjoyed the section and explanation on withers.

best,

Rik

Hi truckindog - no problem printing off my article. Initially this could not be done for security but I had so many requests to print it off i amended the facility to allow this. Louis

Rik glad you enjoyed my paper. It is a hard read in places but many things can't be explained simply. Many people including judges have contacted me to say they will never look at a gsd the same way again. Best regards - louis

 Hi Louis,

Don't know if you remember me.? I was your CRS on your 1st. & 2 nd. Judging assignment in Malaysia.

First, let me thank you very much for taking time to join us on this fantastic GSD site.

Many of us will be enlightened and gain a much better understanding of the GSD,upon reading your paper.

Your article on 2011 Sieger show, was fantastic. Thank You.

  Regards - Raja

Hi Raja - yes I remember you very well and enjoyed our time together. Glad to see you are still actively involved and glad you liked my report on the 2011 Sieger Show and my paper on structure.
Pity the number of people that participate in this thread are so few especially when I read the amount of misinformation on other threads that relate to other topics. It's actually quite alarming.

I think there are a large number of people who silently agree with the sentiments expressed in the paper, Louis.  I for one, sure do.  Very enlightening and frankly, agrees with the conclusions I myself had arrived at.  Thank you.

Thanks aaykay for your comments. Its a pity the silent majority remain so silent but that's the way of it! As I said, I find it frustrating when I read through dozens of comments from people on things such as the curved back or whatever they wish to call it and most comments I read are either totally wrong or in some cases bizarre. I then become curious as to whether those individuals have read my paper and if so what their opinion now is. Will never know. This type of forum has so much scope and so much to offer to people who really just want facts and sound education on the GSD but the momentum just falls away as quickly as it arrives.

Mr. Louis Donald,

First of all thank you so much for your excellent paper/study which I personally find comprehensive, rich and thorough. I learned a lot from it. I can claim that I understood most of the content perfectly. I read the paper several times and I can assure you that many well informed and experienced members on PDB share your views and discussed several issues you raised in your study in previous threads and their views were greatly in line with your study.
As a matter of fact your study is well put together and issues you discussed were explained in detail with examples and (proof) which makes it, if I can say so, a scientific study and not only your point of view, whereas previous discussions on this board where scattered and not thorough, though they contained some very useful info and true facts to individuals experiences.
Again a very useful and enlightening reading I find in your paper that shows a great effort you've done to present huge wealth of information and facts in a very clever way that even a non-English speaking and a relatively newbie in the world of GSD like myself could understand most of it and learn a lot.

Ibrahim
