Yes, that's what I meant.  Having purchased five dogs from the Mravik's, my only agent was my wife.  She was a crapshoot too, ha ha.

what do you mean cheaper. cheaper than what? cheaper than buying similar in US?

buying direct from UK, Slovakia, etc. could be cheaper - if you are willing to buy sight unseen or know someone. willing to take that chance. or just know what you think you want and think you have found it. but you have to add in import costs.

They have more working dog trainers/clubs/facilities over there - so is easier to get a young started dog or trained dog for less than what you'd spend over here in States?

Depending where you live. Shipping from Slovakia to NY is about 1,000 for an adult dog. My advice is to buy a puppy from the USA it would be easier to see him, shipping is cheaper and the guarantees will be easier. Look at the post on this forum  look at these hips!!

At least there's not as huge a monetary loss with "cheaper" if things don't go well, rather than paying a huge amount and losing when things don't go well. People don't always get what they expect when paying higher price.

Why PAY MORE and get ripped off? Paying more doesn't necessarily get you the best deal or great service.

Frank, we are not talking about shipping to USA. Also shipping to USA is $550-$750 for a pup and for an adult it is $900-$1200.
