EuroShepherd

my post above about the dog being "imported from another state" was in sarcasm.  It is disturbing that the ad says she has import documentation when she clearly was bred by a kennel in Ohio.  Clearcreek Bauernhof is a pretty reputable kennel, they would not put their kennel name on a dog or pup that they did not breed, if it had been a dog/pup that they imported then the dog/pup would still keep it's original name given by it's breeder.  No one with a lick of sense would put an American kennel name on an imported dog/pup.

Given her age, OFA's and pedigree I wondered why they would be offering her at a rather low price.  Now we know.

Kitkat, if you really want to get her then you know the name of the kennel that is selling her (EngelHaus) contact them and ask.

Fawndallas, she doesn't really look unkept, it's most likely that this is an older photo of the dog and not just taken for the ad.

Sorry I have not checked back sooner...

I have personally dealt with this breeder, dogs were unhealthy, skinny, wormy, no shots or proof of shots...  I reported them to the local authorities and clearly nothing has ever been done...

I drove 5 hours to get a 6 month old pup that turned out to be 9 months old and 35 lbs...  She had ear mites, ear infections, worms, mange and no shot records, and my vet rated her a 1 out of 10 body condition...  I still have the vet records on that dog...

I have sworn that whenever I have seen them advertise anywhere I would red flag them...  I hope this helps...

They had 3 Shepherds at the time and like 5 rotties...  All dogs kennels were filthy dirty with dried up feces and urine...  The parents had a very bad coat and were pot bellied from worms...  Sorry, but true...

I am sorry I should have clarified...  I am flagging the breeder not the dog...

Poor Estella!

Blkdog, how is your dog doing now?  (the one you got from this breeder)

What are the names of the owners of this kennel, EngelHaus?  (since they could easily change their kennel name and deceive more people)

I just got off the phone with them, and of course there are two sides to every story. If I can swing it, Estelle will be coming home with me, and I can guarantee, once she gets here, she will NOT be placed, or should I say, displaced, ever again, I spoke with Barry, who seemed to be very nice. I told him I will come pick her up. There was no problem with me going to their place. It will be a few weeks before I can pull it all togeatherr , but, I'm working on it.

I am glad that you are going to get her Kitkat, yes I thought Barry was super nice as well...  But the condition of the dogs spoke volumes to me and not just me my vet was appalled at her condition as well. That was about 3 yrs ago and I hope they have taken better care of the dogs since...  There is really nothing that he could ever say to me that would make me understand why those dogs were in that condition...  I might could understand it if 1 dog looked that way, but all of them!!  He could of at least cleaned up their kennels or something.  I would be happy to email or post the vet records if needed...  He would not let me keep the dog and refund part of my money, I had to return her to him and he did give me my money back, and that has haunted me since.  I did not want to return that dog to him, but I also don't have money growing on trees and I had about $1300.00 into her...  I truly hope Estella has been more fortunate.  I am curious as to what his side of the story was though...
