Abby Normal

So pleased that Mum and Olira made it, and so sorry for the loss of Olf and Oxana. Such a sad thing to happen, and so unpredictable.

As Hexe said, they didn't pass unknown....

It must have hurt like hell to post their beautiful little photo's, but a loving tribute to them.

So glad to have checked back in.. (hesitantly I might add) and see how you all were doing !!! So glad that Olira is doing so much better ! I see snake bites come in our clinic oh.. once a month and it breaks my heart ! one of my own dogs got bit on the nose and it is such a helpless feeling to watch !! I, along with Hexe and all, are also doing the happy dance !! sherry

Hi

This is so devastating for you and your family,  we have the most deadliest snakes in Australia, we live on farm, you just have to be so aware that you are living in their territory.

I hope you have saved some of your puppies, and mum is Ok.

Hooray for Olira! I've been working these past few days & just now got to check in on your pups, I'm so sad the other little girl died, but Brenda is recovered & Olira is OK! Joining in that happy dance! She is your Angel now!

Snakes have their place, I'm sure....but I'm also sure it's not in my house or yard! That's the deal I make with all spiders & snakes.....I'll leave you in peace if you leave me in peace! Violate that, & I'll leave you in pieces! I'm OK with garters & king snakes, I know them when I see them, but we have copperheads, timber rattlers, 1 other venomous snake around here.....! uggh! jackie harris

Thumbs Up Cry Smile Teeth SmileThumbs Up so glad mama and little girl pulled through, i'm sure the last couple of days and night have been pure hell.

while camping a few months ago, we played fetch with our dogs for hours.......once we ate dinner and cleaned up camp and were about ready for bed, the kids said they saw a huge snake........terrified, i told them that if it was indeed ture to go and tell my husband......well they did and the 5' rattle snake was right there....in the very place that my beloved Jyota was sleeping just minutes earlier............Ken made quick work of killing it and the kids fought over who would keep the tail. I was jumpy for the rest of the trip. In this case we were darn lucky......

next year, i will take the dogs to snake aversion classes and give them vaccinations prior to camping.......

SO glad to hear the two made it. We have rattlers here, but they don't like to be anywhere near dogs. I haven't seen one in years. I was going to get guinea hens if I did see any out here in the orchard, but I don't think that's going to be necessary now. Even the gopher and garter snakes have left the homes they occupied here when I moved in.
