Oh yes. She is my girl. I may have to give her a new name if she pulls thru. Don't know what yet. Any ideas?

so glad to hear Brenda and Olira are doing better! Olira sounds like a courageous fighter. Is there a German name for girls that mean "courage"?

I got to thinking about courageous women to name your puppy after and for some reason I thought of famous actress breast cancer survivors.
1. Gloria Steinheim
2. Sheryl Crowe
3. Jaclyn Smith
4. Olivia Newton John
5. Peggy Fleming ( my personal favorite olympic gold medal )
6. Kate Jackson
7. Christina Applegate
I think I was thinking about this because I watched Stand Up To Cancer last night and was humbled by all the courageous cancer stories and I thought about your puppy and how hard she is fighting to stay alive.

How about "Irena," after Irena Sendler, the woman who smuggled babies out of Germany during WWII...she passed away at 98...

Oh wow, I'm so sorry to hear of your losses. That is just terrible, where exactly do you live to have copperheads? That would be so traumatic, but remember, it could have been you, or a family member. Will keep your lil girl and mom in my thoughts/prayers. Keep us posted!

Yes, how is she? I have some name suggestions ... from Kill Bill, that might be suitable:
Beatrix aka The Bride, "The Black Momba"
O-Ren Ishii, "Cottonmouth" Vernita Green, "Copperhead"

Update: Puppy is doing great and is back with mom and her litter mates as of this afternoon. Still a little swollen.
It was the most beautiful sight when I set her down with her litter mates. Her tail started wagging and all of the others greated her with so much joy. Brenda licked her all over and the first thing she went for was milk, LOL. It was so incredible. She will still finish her antibiotics and prednisone for 2 more days. I am so happy. I will take a short video tomorrow and post it here. Thank you guys for praying.
BTW we live in Reidsville, NC (right on the VA line)
