Kevin was an amazing dog, the total package. Without him, we wouldn't have other
superb dogs today such as Sieger Ober v Bad Boll and many more.
Tracy adored him. He had a wonderful life, and was healthy until the end.

Tracy thank you for giving so many of us the opportunity to enjoy Kevin and his awesome progeny! He truly will be missed.

Sorry to hear that he has passed on. He lived a happy good life though by people who cared about him. What could be better than that?

Seems like it was just the other day a picture of him at his latest birthday party was posted here, and some of us even got a little teary-eyed at the sight [ok, I meant me.. I'm a sucker for senior dogs].  Fourteen years, and it still seems like it was just a blink of an eye.  My condolences to everyone who loved Kevin and whose hearts now have yet another missing puzzle piece.

Met him at USA 2004 and boy was he a sight to behold.  Funny thing was he even knew he was awesome as he held his head high with total confidence yet was still approachable by everyone.  It also seemed as if he just strolled throughout the whole show too and was barely even panting when it was all over.  It was obvious he was in a class of his own.  Left an indelible impression on me and I will never forget him as he set a new standard of German shepherd dog in my eyes.  I’m so sorry for your loss Tracy.  He was truly one of the greatest ever to lay paw on this side of the pond.  Take care and best wishes.

My heart felt sympathy to Tracy for the loss of a great dog, KEVIN VON MURRTAL.
I own a Kevin son SG14 Gagarin von Bad Boll.
I was lucky enough to see Kevin a few times whilst he was owned by Hans-Peter, what a pity that Eric Orschler was so political against Hans-Peter from Bad Boll Kennels and therefore Kevin, really he should have been VA1 save for Orschler, who was Vice President of the SV at the time.

His legacy will live on through his grandson, VA1 Ober von Bad Boll and his son VA14 Enosch von Amasis and no doubt through his son SG2 Kronos.

Long live KING KEVIN!!!!!

Sorry to hear this. Tracy you are in our thoughts and prayers. We own a Grandson of his. He is our family dog, sleeping at our feet next to our couch as I write this. Couldn't ask for a better ambassador for the breed than Kevin vom Murrtal.
Thank you for sharing him and his with the rest of us.
