Can any of you recommend a vet that does OFA s in Eastern Ohio or Western PA? I have three dogs that need prelims done. I checked with Northwestern already (in Canal Fulton).

I'm dismayed as to why any vet can't do "by the book" OFA x-rays - but havingsaid that - I would do this "backwards" - I would call the OFA and ask them to recommend someone -- they may have an evaluator who also has a practice or knows someone who can take good pics for you.
In the old days - I had the good fortune to be able to talk to Dr. Corley live and in person !!

Thanks. I've just been going down a list of vets, calling around and what not. So annoying. I'll try calling OFA

Indeed :) I have 3 kids to do and I'll be able to get it all done for under $600. Now all I have to do is start ordering DM kits. Yayyyyyyy,,,,,

Is it a good idea to do "OFA" without sedation ?...

OFA will not give recommendations.

IMO It is NOT a good idea to do hip xrays without sedation. It has been proven time and time again that dogs that have failed when sedated to the point of relaxation - subluxation/shallow sockets - have passed without sedation.
