thank you vonissk........you see i like all GSD's especially when they are smart, athletic and good looking too........in that order preferably.

If  you truly are here to learn about the breed, you might do better by not assuming so much about specific lines like - "now why arent more amreican breeder striving for that type of specimen".

Thanks you Blitzen for that nice explanatory post. I know things but some have a lot better way or wording it than I do.
Eddy I prefer to stay at home. I don't like trips, even to the Dr and shopping, 30 miles away. When th Nationals in Denver came up last October, I was sick and my dr told me not to go. But I have been planing on going for several months just to see this dog in action; so here I go from southern OK to Denver. Just to see "Tucker" which is his call name. Yes I saw him close and even put my hands on him. (sick as hell but having the time of my life) Thanks for the video--haven't watched it yet but I am going to. For some reason I never think of looking on Youtube--thanks again Eddy. I just find dogs and then I study them as much as I can and decide if I want to go farther.......Majorie yes we need more health testing and that's on thing I noticed about Tucker. And yes Sun he is a Dallas grandson, which is very good ad it shows which is also very good.

Eddy, I'm probably going to regret this, but I'm going to cut you some slack again and give you the benefit of the doubt. Take what Vonissk did very seriously. IF you are REALLY  who you say you are, a naive newbie who wants to learn about the breed, it's not going to happen via your keyboard. You need to get in gear and attend some shows, trials, whatever interests you. Go to specialty shows, NASS, the US Sieger, important Sch and police trials. You're probably not going to find these events in your backyard, you will have to be prepared to travel. Visit some kennels that interest you, talk to the breeders. Be prepared to learn about canine anatomy in general, don't limit yourself to only the GSD. When you decide which direction you want to go, make friends with people who are experienced with those lines.  You will meet many of them here, they will help you if you demonstrate that you are sincere. If you're just messing around they will figure that out too and you will have burned your bridges on the PDB and will have to move on to another internet social venue using a different screen name. Maybe that will matter to you, maybe not.  The ball is in your court.
