Congrats love thy shepherd on stopping and working towards doing things the right way for the betterment I tour dogs and their offspring.

There is no excuse for not having hips/elbows done before breeding.

Everyone is welcome to their own opinion.   Workingdogz   Why do you always make up things ?  My female has only been bred
to one dog, on two different occasions.  Why doesn't everyone worry about their own dogs.  It takes time to do all that testing.  If
you don't like my dogs or how I do things then simply turn the page.  I've already said I'm testing all my breeding stock.

Ok, I was going to keep my comments to myself. But when people start lying i do have to put my 2 cents in.I know of at least 3 times you had said she was bred.First time was an "accident @ 11 months old" which she didn't take. Then the 2nd time she didn't take and now this time she didn't take.Did you ever take in consideration it might be her and not the males? Then you had her up for sale "Hanna" just awhile back after you said you wouldn't sell her. And you have been a responsible breed since 1989 and NOW you are trying to do things right?

My guess is when Malio was offered up it was with the intention  that LTS got his bitch ofad

I will put my 10 cents worth into this thread for what it is worth. In MY Opinion no Dog Male or Female should ever be bred from until its Hips and Elbows and DNA are certified breedable and to go one step further the Dog should be Korclassed, meaning it will have done some work at least to IPO1;
Now some will say  forget the worth of IPO1 as a lot says it means nothing, but one thing it TELLS everyone it says the Dog is sound in temperament and can take a bit of pressure without cracking up and that statement in the breed means and says a Lot about the Dog.
A Dog that has done no work of any kind the owner cannot say the temperament and nerves are sound if the dog has done nothing to prove it. However this is my way that i think folk should go before breeding? Most of course will not do the above and disagree with what i have said.

Steve1, in our country we have no actual requirements prior to breeding dogs.
Sad but true.

LTS, for someone who claims to be a knowledgeable breeder, and in the breed
'for more than 2 decades', I'm shocked this whole OFA thing is 'new to you'.
You've bred this bitch more than once by your own admission, but I see you
don't count when they miss, just when they produce? Either way, she was still
covered well before joints were xrayed. So please do tell, where did I make anything
up? If I did, I will post a thread apologizing to you as such, however, I am only basing
my statements on your own words and the words of your various ads and web site etc.

Given that the man on the street knows enough about HD to know that GSD's are predisposed to that condition, why wouldn't someone who considers him or herself a breeder not first xray any dog they are using for breeding?

by joanro on 12 July 2013 - 14:07

@ Blitzen, why? Maybe, BYB?

Coming back to Mailo ...
I've only seen him on video,  but I was impressed
with what I saw of his Tracking, something not yet
mentioned by others.
